note* kakashi knows how itachi's fights and how his genjutsu works and kakashi can use all the ninjutsu he knows(whatever they may be)

I say Mid-High difficulty because Kakashi can give ANYBODY a run for their money in a 1-ON-1 battle, thanks to his vast array of jutsus, intelligence and tricks.

Kakashi in his current level can't beat Itachi(and i'm a Kakashi fan) even if he could put a good fight. Itachi wins mid-high difficulty at best

Kakashi got caught in Itachi's Tsukyomi because he didn't realize that his Sharingan couldn't break it. He wouldn't fall for it a second time but he'd have to find a way to avoid Itachi's eyes. Itachi wins.

Kakashi is no doubt a strong ninja, but you see they are in completely different leagues. Kakashi in part 2 has noted that he cannot defeat itachi alone after what happened in part 1, but also due to this decided to use gai's counter.

That gai's counter is rigged with failure, so much so that it fails at the very first hurdle, which is that itachi doesnt need his eyes for genjutsu.

The next thing people say is that kakashi can counter genjutsu with clones and although that is true, it holds very little substance in a 1 vs 1 fight. If you back to that fight (30% itachi clone vs kakashi). Kakashi created a kage bunshin to counter genjutsu, but you see he created that because he was depending on naruto to defeat the itachi clone. In a 1 vs 1 fight, due to his chakra, it wouldnt be wise for him to use a kage bunshin just to counter genjutsu.

Basically in a 1 vs 1 fight, i highly doubt kakashi would use a kage bunshin. Way too risky. Susano, yasakas magatama or even izanami is isnt a factor in this, it isnt needed. We even saw how kakashi struggled, to teleport susano's arrow because he couldnt evade it. He isnt evading amaterasu either and how is he teleporting amaterasu (if he gets the chance), if he is using gai's counter?.

I dont even want to stretch my legs in this thread because i dont need to.

I think it was just because of the context. Originally he didn't even knew at the start that he was not fighting against the real Itachi. So he said that in preparation of fighting the real and the plan he made with Naruto was in order to fight Itachi with his real power, not the one he fought at that moment who lacked 70% of his chakra and couldn't do MS technics. But during the fight he has notice that it wasn't him.

I don't agree with this. When you say that, it seems you don't really know how Kakashi fights.

Don't forget clones is a part of Kakashis style. He use clones in each fight. So he will definitively use clone even in a 1vs1. Even recently, with low chakra, he used a clone. So don't think he won't use clone against Itachi. It's his fighting style, even Choza said that "he always use clones and kawarimis when he fights".

Obviously he can use clones, but if you knew what kage bunshin does it wouldnt be a good idea. Secondly normal clones are not durable and with little contact they diffuse. Either that or the clones after the chakra poured into it runs out, it diffuses by its self.

Secondly Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu > any clone kakashi makes. Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu can not only counter any kakashi clone, they take less chakra to create but also when hit, they disperse into crows and distort the opponents eye sight. Its due to this ability that allowed itachi to get naruto in a genjutsu. Get sasuke in tsukuyomi and cut kabuto's horn off
