I don't see how punching the ground would make the mist go away, it's not like shes creating an air current. If anything that would make the air dirtier.

Za-bu-za... Lol her brute strength is useless if she can't hit or see her target... The "throat cleaver" will just cut her head off... But it's a different story if she can summon katsuya xd

kinda like what happened with shinra tensei when it hit that one part of the ground, the force made the entire village fall apart even after it hit that one middle spot
same concept except on a much smaller scale

Noo. Shinra Tensei is a push, and it pushes everything. Tsunades punch is just a punch, and would just disrupt the ground.
She needs an explosion just like Sakura did when she fought Sasori. Punching the ground would do nothing to the air.

She can't do that. I tried that same argument with Minato and FTG and apparently NB rules say you can't leave the arena.
But even if she did he would follow her and make more mist.

tsunade couldnt even beat kabuto. no way she can beat zabuza.
also remember that her punches are done with extremly precise chakra control so if she fought a byakugan user. he could disrupt just one point and she would be a useless old hag with only med jutsu

Tsunade's counter for mist. All punches carry air pressure (the shaolin extinguish candle flames with punches from nearly a foot away) Tsunade's punches in comparison to the shaolin is far greater and thus would have a much greater air force behind it. We all know mist can be blown away by wind. >_> A punch is not just a punch as Gai has shown. We've never seen Tsunade use her punches from a distance but logically it's not the speed which created the wind force for morning peacock it's the power his speed caused the fire. Tsunade is stronger than 6th gate gai so she should be able to do it without using ninjutsu as well.
Also a punch downward would send air pressure in every direction while making it more difficult for Zabuza to navigate.
Against the water prison we know that she can turn her chakra into electricity and we know she has a lot of chakra and we know she has great chakra control so logically she could electrocute herself and Zabuza and heal herself and leave him screwed.
People think she can't regrow a limb. We'll she regenerated her entire stomach and the organs held inside would have been completely destroyed which they needed to be recreated as a whole. Which begs the question if she can regenerate vital organs why wouldn't she be able to regrow a limb. Logically she could.
And according to the databook he's only .5 levels faster than Tsunade so that doesn't give him a great advantage.
What would he do if Tsunade threw a boulder at him?
What would he do if she got pathway derangement off?
If she punches or kicks him he insta-dies.
What happens if she uses her chakra scapels.
With him having to avoid literally every attack of hers with fear of death and him not being much faster than her she will land an attack and when she does he dies.

Her punches aren't fast enough. The strength only counts when it connects with something. Gais punches were extremely fast when Tsunades aren't fast she has shown no feats in speed.
The mist will stay there.
She can't see Zabuza or hear him, so she can't attack him or defend properly

The mist is chakra based....so it could stay in the same place. Tsunade could make air currents, but nothing big enough to move a whole area of mist.

hmm, so i see punching the ground to clear the fog didn't work(which supposed to be)..how about releasing chakra, just like Kakashi did when he first fought Zabuza

Did you read that fight or watch it.
Because before her hemophobia was exploited he was dead man. And in her unparalyzed state she got hit twice. The first time, he dodges an attack and while she was still in the air (because as per the laws of physics its impossible to really dodge in mid-air) he cut her abdomen muscles and her biceps.
