I believe tobirama is partly tobi just like harishima is partly madara. That would explain why Kishi never shows tobiramas jutsus.

That could be so but that still makes no sense because you have no solid proof of them being the same person. Like what these other humans said, he couldn't have been summoned by Edo Tensei if he was still alive. If you were referring to how Hashirama is somewhat infused in Madara, I don't see why Tobirama's DNA shouldn't be infused to Tobi. (Basically for his Space/Time Jutsu) But otherwise, there is no way Tobirama is Tobi...

Tobirama invented the jutsu but orochimaru perfected it. Maybe he wanted to see how his jutsu has been perfected.

If minato had the chance do you not think he would want a demo on naruto's wind style rasenshuriken...?

Also tobirama was the one who made a treaty with madara uchiha for peace and cooperation between the Uchiha and Senju clans. Not exactly solid evidence but clearly shows that the 2 had some form of understanding and communication... And who is fighting together now? Tobi(rama) and Madara...

Don't shoot me down, but I have come to realise some strangely coincidental evidence of who Tobi is...

No beating around the bush, I think it is Tobirama (or atleast a part of him) and here is why;

• Tobirama created the Impure world ressurection technique, which seems a little coincidental seing as it is what has been used by kabutomaru, and I believe he may have used some strain of it to resurrect himself partially (which would explain why he would need nagato to fully resurrect him)
• He was said to be a master of space-time jutsu. Hello? Tobi all over...
• Tobi - Tobirama

I know that Hiruzen sealed both him and hashirama during his fight with orochimaru, but as we have learned from recent mangas hashirama has been partially fuzed/ressurected withiun madara, is it possible that a piece of both hashirama and tobirama were not sealed, and these two partial pieces are what we see now?

The last straw to this puzzle would be if Tobi used some crazy water style jutsu, but Kishi is not that stupid. That would just give it away far too easily...

Now, thoughts?

personally i don't buy it i don't think the first son of the sage would claim to be anyone else he would have been arrogant and self assured even if people now thought he was a myth. imo i say its not the first son of the sage but thats just me and as much as we guess only kishi knows who tobi really is so until he removes the mask...

The fact that the Sage was seen as a myth by shinobi of the present wouldn't help his cause. Obviously he wants to provoke fear, so give them something they KNOW is dangerous. Madara as a symbol had more potential than the elder son.
And as for his own powers, IF it is the elder son, he has obviously lived/regenerated himself for a LONG time. The process that ajpn920 has suggested would make his body quite weak. He gave his rinnegan to Nagato and had Akatsuki do the dirty work, to save himself the hassle. Also, this meant he didn't have to demonstrate his own unique powers as the elder son to incite fear, but could just allow the legend of Madara to work its magic.

I think this is by far the most well thought out Tobi theory I've seen. In fact I'm almost hoping it is this, since introducing a completely unknown character after all of this would be hella lame!

even the elder son's dad wasnt immortal so why would he? kakuzu said theres no true immortality meaning hidan ages. everything deteriorates. plus tobi posed as madara. why would the mighty son of the sage pose as a kid, who madara would be to him? and why is he madara's bitch, following madara's plan and planning to resurrect madara? why would he become so weak over the years? his fight with his bro couldnt have done that much. it makes no sense and is more contrived than even future sasuke.
