[Theory] I Know why Tobi gave Nagato the Rinnegan

well I know why he gave it to Nagato.


Madara awakened Rinnegan intentionaly.

He learned from the stone tablet how to achieve this.

You need to place an incredible stress on the EMS eyes , to obtain it.

The whole purpose of geting the Rinnegan was to revive Izuna.

The only way how to achieve this was to fight the Hashirama Senju...the strongest of them all..

He fought Hashirama = faked hes death , awakened the rinnegan = Thus reviving Izuna.

He gave Izuna the Rinnegan , He told Izuna , that he needs to find a young child with huge amounts of chakra=Reason for that.

Also , Madara used somekind of jutsu too give all hes knownledge to Izuna , that's the reason why Tobi knows so much about it all.

Reason is , that Rinne Tensei takes 20+ years to recharge until it's useable again.

That's why he needed Nagato ...to use Rinne Tensei on Madara again.

Irrelevant statement sense it has not been proven within the manga.His statement on how to gain the rinnegan is backed up by the only person who achieved this...Madara.Can't say someones wrong based on assumptions.

Not known to be true or not yet, Senju dna might just make you capable of using techniques for longer.

My only issue with the theory is, we don't know how even if the user has all the things necessary to unlock the rinnengan, how he goes from EMS to Rinnengan. Does he need to meditate, does he need to be in a battle situation, or does it just randomly evolve one day.

Madara basically says that the only thing that remains of Izuna after his death was his eyes(Madara's EMS) and that his hatred is caused from Izuna's death. This implies that Izuna is still dead and that everything that Madara is doing is basically in his name.

Imo senju dna isnt needed to evolve ems to rinnegan. We know madara took hashiramas dna so he can use mokuton if he really needed senju dna to get rinnegan then why not get it off another senjus instead of going throuh the trouble of fighting hashi.

I think Izuna , Tobi and Madara are related.

Tobi is double trolling us= He says he's madara(well that failed when kabuto summoned Madara) , now he gonna jump to Izuna(if that fails it gonna be someone else).

But it could also be possible , that Izuna faked hes death.

Also Tobi has strong eye fetish.

Izuna had no eyes in the end , so he needed to get new eyes.

Silently killing Uchihas to receive special eyes.

Tobi also says , that Susano is rare.

Reason is , that Rinne Tensei takes 20+ years to recharge until it's useable again.

This caught my eye, as I've been thinking that there's some cool down to this jutsu too just like Shisui's MS genjutsu: Kotoamatsukami, which sans Hashirama cells and used by another such as Itachi has a cool down of 10 years. I presume that Shisui did not have such a lengthy cool down, as it's reasonable to presume that, but it's also speculation on my part. I assume that this is why Tobi was so pissed with Nagato using Rinne Tensei for Naruto instead of Tobi. I don't think it was just the betrayal, as opposed to simply losing to Naruto straight up, I think you're right (It's something I've been thinking as well) that there's some cool down on that jutsu and they needed someone of Nagato's youth to carry the Rinnegan.

Further, that they chose an Uzumaki is even more intriguing because I wonder what it says or can be inferred about the Uzumaki aside from being distant blood relatives of the Senju, their attributes (aside from chakra reserves, longevity, Fuuinjutsu master, etc.) and relation to the Rikudou Sennin.

I read other parts of your theory and found them interesting, so +rep; however, this had been on my mind, and to see someone else put it up while it was currently processing in my mind led me to post, albeit I'm sure that there are plenty of other people who have already concluded this, lol.
