Post, solve and discuss riddles that you know here :)

Il go first :

1)You are stuck in a room with 2 doors, one door will set you free if you pass through and one door will kill you but you do not know which one is which.

There are also 2 elves in the room, one is a liar and one tells the truth but you do not know which one is which.

You get to ask 1 question to the elves to find out which door is which and escape the room.

What is the question? : Winner Felicia4 :)

2)Two fathers and two sons go to a restaruant and each orders a 5 euro meal.

The waiter appears with the bill adding up to a total of 15 euros.

How is this possible? : Winner Neji360 :)

3) A man had a very bad tooth ache and he needed to travel out off town to get to the nearest dentist.

When he got to the town he noticed the there was two dental clinics right beside eachother with only a single dentist in each.

One of the dentists had rotten teeth and the other had clean white teeth.

The man entered the dental clinic with the dentist with the rotten teeth?

Why did the man do this? : Winner ReeceP :)

4)A man lives at the 49th of an apartment block and gets the elevator to the bottom floor to get to work everyday.

On his way home from work he gets the elavtor to the 31st floor and takes the stairs the rest of the way.

Why does the man do this? : Winner Chakralit :)

Im out of riddles post your own and have fun xd

First question answer is simple ask either one of them which door is your door? The liar have to point to the the truth door and the truth will point to his door. I believe the puzzle is that each of them stand to guard their door and the liar stand at the death door and the truth will stand at the living door.

Second question: The 2 father is actually one grandfather a father and son. So it really 3 people and they have to be related to solve this one. A grandfather is also the father's father. The father is also a son to the grandfather and the son is just a son to the father.

Third question: The man enter the Clinic with the rotten teeth because he assume the he the one who clean the dentist with perfect teeth.

Fouth question not sure what you asking. It seems like something is missing

Well done :p reason being even if he said yes even if hes lying or telling the truth it means that the door is behind him :p

I don't get it, why is it I'm thinking it through that way and It still doesn't work

Under the parameters that you ask both elves one question:

if it was the right door the one that lies would say no and the one that tells the truth would say yes

If you asked about the wrong door the elf that lies would say yes and the tells the truth would say no

So technically your still stuck

You didn't state that a single elve protects a single door so it still doesn't work

Or am I just dumber then I thought

You randomly pick up one of the elves you tell him you're going to throw him through one of the doors so liar or not he better pick the right door. You wait until he picks the door then throw him through. If he survives you take that door if he doesn't you take the other.. No question needed...

Same thing I was thinking

May I explain a bit?

Each elf guards one door. One elf is a liar and the other tells the truth. You don' know which door gets you freedom. You don't know who lies or who tells the truth. You are allowed to ask one question only. How will you find the door to freedom?

My question is: "If I ask the other elf which door leads to freedom what is the door he will point out?". You ask ask this question to either of the elf. The door the elf points out will the the door leading to your death. So choose the other door. Just visualize it. you will get it.

My question to You is:

You can never honestly answer yes to this question. What would be that question?
