Guy will tire himselff out in 8th gate. he will last only 2-4 minutrs in 8th gate. Minato knows this so until then minato toys himeself around and FTG in all the parts of the battlefield until guy tires , then he will attack.

Hmm, Minato could use a teleportation tech make Guy go flying in random directions,just like he did with the TBB from Kyuubi.

Minato could plant a seal on Guy and continously teleport behind him and Rasengan Rage his a$$.

I don't know what's the 8th gates but if minato get hit by it ,he's dead.I will not be surprise that gai with 8th gates surpasse minato's speed.At the cost of life it could be a f***ing fast and powerfull attack.Furthermore gates ,kishi stated that with the 7th or 8th (forgot) the user is largelly above the kage level.

Even if guy where to beat minato in the 8th gate it would be in vain because after using the 8th gate you die shortly after woods and minato could use that to his advantage and play on the defensive just spamming around with FTG


, On a completely different subject i believe if any of the main type of characters are to die it would be guy using his 8th gate to save someone its kind of set up really for him

Err I say Minato, just because Minato could continually make guy hit air and he could just keep teleporting, wasting Gai's time to attack him.

We haven't seen 8th gate so we can only assume but Gai stated it gives the person 1000x more strength and speed. Gai with that much speed is off the charts not sure if FTG can match that speed. Pretty sure Minato would lose this because no way he pulls off any hand seals to pull
off that teleporting of guy somewhere.

Obviously this is assuming Minato does FTG to his home and has a nice cup of tea until Gai dies.
