Will Naruto be Hokage after all??

Hokage-the kage, a title which carries power, passion, versatility, and perseverance and Naruto want to become Hokage more than anything else. As manga seems to appear near its end, dream also will come true for Naruto….Naruto has become so much powerful now a days that no one from leaf village could stand a chance against him and become Hokage is inevitable for Naruto.

But, Will Naruto actually become Hokage. What do you guys think? Please share your thoughts.

I assume Naruto won’t become Hokage and here is my reasoning:

1. From childhood Naruto’s main goal was to be acknowledged by everybody as he lives lonely life. Hokage means acknowledgement and power. Everyone acknowledge Hokage. So, Naruto thought if he became Hokage, everybody must have acknowledged him and no one can ignore his existence. This is the main reason why Naruto was so obsessed to become a hokage. But, as days went by, Naruto has become more and more powerful and made friend with almost everyone whom he met (except Sasuke). Now, Naruto has no fear of suffering from loneliness. The main reason of becoming Hokage has lost it appeal.

2. Hokage also means responsibility. From manga, Naruto doesn’t appear to be so responsible to take the burden of a kage. Also, he is a student of J-man. So, some carefree influence of J-man must be found in Naruto’s character. This may be able to alter Naruto’s present mind.

3. Naruto has made a life-time promise to himself to save Sasuke. But the way, manga plot is going it’s really difficult for Naruto to save Sasuke from Darkness. This is also a main reason why Naruto won’t accept the kage title if he were offered. He even told Kakashi, how could I become a hokage if I couldn’t save my friend.

I think hokage dream seems a little lame in light of recent epic battles. He likely has become more famous and respected than the hokage.

I still believe he'll become hokage, but probably not for a while. He's only 16 and not even Minato or Hiruzen the two youngest hokages were promoted to such a rank at that age. Naruto also has the issues of being immature and sometimes an idiot.

I believe though that down the line when he's in his early to mid 20s that he'll finally earn that position.

Naruto has become much stronger and famous than any present shinobi today....So, I think hokage title won't attract him anymore coz sometimes we saw Naruto became philosopher. When Naruto defeated six paths of pain and was going for Nagato, he told three senior members of konoha that win or defeat doesn't fit to him anymore. So, after this 4th Ninja war, hokage title also will become cliche to Naruto.

would it be logical that after all that in the end he does not become a hokage?

since the tsushikage mentioned some changes after the war in the shinobi alliance , i think naruto might become more than a hokage, he might be like 'the grand kage" or something...he would be like above all the kages

It could be very much logical coz Naruto's main aim was to be acknowledged and appreciated by everyone. A parentsless kid saw that the hokage is the man who was acknowledged by everybody even if the hokage was not loved by all. So, Naruto thought his burden of loneliness will ease very quickly if he become hokage. It was clear that Naruto chatter those words without any though as then he had no idea how to become a hokage or what was the requirement.

Also, a good story always give many surprises. So, what Naruto or reader believes very much will not become true.

Just because he's powerful and has been acknowledged by everyone doesn't mean he still doesn't want to become hokage. Besides he may have to take up the position if Tsunade ends up dying anytime soon because Kakashi doesn't want the job and nobody else in the village is strong enough.

That might be true but I assume Naruto won't go for it as he was very much influenced by J-man now. J-man was the only shinobi, who refused to take the post. Naruto may do so. I came to this conclusion after seeing change in Naruto's mentality when he defeated pain's six path.

As for vacant hokage place, Neji and Shikamaru would be good choice.

you basing to much on those how you like to call "hokage requirements" ......are you trying to say naruto is stupid? well for your information he isn't.....he rushes in battle with not too many thoughts...i confess, but that does not mean he's stupid! if nothing else he will have shikamaru by his side for his helping hand....he will come up with strateges and naruto will inforce them...thats all i'm saying....
the smarts isn't everything if you don't have the guts :shrug:

as soon as he achieves that naruto can finally take care of just himself then bearing the burden of bringing sasuke back and saving the world...but also i don't think that naruto looks to those things as a burden, but as an honor...as he already stated before....

as soon as he achieves that naruto can finally take care of just himself then bearing the burden of bringing sasuke back and saving the world...but also i don't think that naruto looks to those things as a burden, but as an honor...as he already stated before....
