oh man kakashi can performs 1000 kind of jutsu but he just use some of them and that is sth optional and there is no need to use all jutsus you know
If you know rasengan is just shap manipulation not nature but chidori use both shape and nature manipulation

1. it can be mid range like he does fighting pain and like suske use
2. even if it is short range you can't say it makes kakashi a short range fighter
