You certainly don't seem like a guy who need advice from NB. If you are serious , just be yourself-you seem smart, witty and reasonable. Being yourself is only dangerous if you think NVG's advice above is worth trying.

First of all: Don't Rush It!
Don't go on you're life just thinking about having a gf or a person to hold when you feel cold and stuff like that. You need to CREATE YOURSELF.
What I mean by that is when you have confidence in yourself then you are going to be happy about what you do and you're body, etc. When you have CONFIDENCE in youre self you are not gonna be afraid to walk up to any girl in the WORLD and just have a conversation from scratch without even knowing her name and you just start talking to her.
Second of all: Do something you love.
Ok, this may sound weird or gei but hear me out!.
I am personally the biggest soccer fan in the world lol. I absolutely love that sport and when i feel alone or whatever i play it. I play alone or with friends, i go out and play with friends and just love it.
You can find friends or even a GF that loves doing the same thing that you do. My current gf is a soccer fan. (Not as much as i am but she still plays it and likes it) shes not Megan Fox or anything like that but fuk, i love her and thats it. She loves soccer and so do it, we enjoy alot of the same crap.

It's not trolling, I'm really doing this for future reference, and if that doesn't convince you.. See it as a thread for people in similar situations. There's lots of good advice in this thread and by simply reading it, people who dare not ask others about these kinds of matters, can use this thread.

On a serious note this is more of a reason to be yourself. Don't put on an act - that might work for a one night stand but if you want a relationship you want someone who likes you. Make friends, try to get to know them as people not just as a potential partner, be yourself and hopefully you will find someone who likes you.
