Their both excellent animes/mangas I think when it comes to fights nobodys gonna beat dbz but story wise i think naruto has the upper hand. Lets face it there was nothing to the DBZ storyline every arch was pretty much exactly the same, we watched DBZ for the hilarius gimmicks and the awesome fights. We watch naruto for the hilarius gimmicks and the awesome story(fights arn't to bad either)

EPIC LEVEL: Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail

Sure, it was the trailblazer as you call it, but it isn't the best anymore, it's still legendary though and I admit Naruto and One Piece most likely would not have been this good if DBZ never existed, that goes for most animes.

True, I like DBZ but mainly for the Fights... But Naruto and other Manga's for the Storyline

One Piece I can't get enough of, I truly like it more then Naruto lol...
But Fairy Tail? Never Read it, might start reading it though if its that epic

Naruto is so overrated.
People yell out their opinions like they've seen other anime besides Naruto.
BULLSHIT.
Majority of participants in the Naruto Section have only seen glimpses of other anime and are complete fanboys of Naruto who won't let anything be better than Naruto.
Their opinion will never waiver and thats why we laugh at them.

I can name atleast 5 that are better than Naruto with DBZ at the top.

Goku saved the Universe, Naruto is yet to save his boyfriend.

i do agree with u up to the point where u say *Majority of participants in the Naruto Section have only seen glimpses of other anime*
i watched the entire series of DB universe and thet $hit aint small
detective Conan is awesome as well though i didn't get to finish all of it <_<

Fist of the North star (reel old)
Eyeshield 21
and those are just the +100 episodes series that i can think of right now <_<
have a small collection of 180 animes that are only 26 or 13 episodes

The main reason I give DB so much credit is because it was what made americans want to watch anime. db pioneered anime/manga on so many levels.

But since we're naming favorite anime/manga here too,,,, as far as action goes DBZ 100%, as far as as drama goes i prob vote for the original anime FMA (i didnt care for the manga version as much), and lastly i thought death note was incredibly original and fun to watch(even if it didnt have the big action scenes).

Yes DBZ is what made Americans get into Manga and Anime, thats how Naruto and then One Piece started Airing on American Channels because they thought they could make good profit with those Mangas...
And They do lol... Just not as much as Ben 10 lol! That gets all the Kids these days

IMO Fist of The North Star is better than Naruto.
It goes like this.

Naruto's good and has a special place in my heart, but it will never defeat DBZ.
