That is a gross misunderstanding. Not being a Pactard here but:
- Dela Hoya was the one who cherry-picked Pacquiao. Everyone was predicting the Pac to go down as early as the first round.
- Hatton was also deemed as too big for the Pac. Everyone started predicting that Pac would go down in 6. Hatton slept in 2.
- Cotto, now don't tell me this guy is going to retire too. He was in the prime of his career, one loss don't make you damaged goods.
- People began to waver around Clottey. They would give the match to Manny for about 50-50.
- Margarito? They gave Pac a 45 chance or something. The casual fan knew better than the so-called boxing experts though, and reaped their profits on the betting sites.
