So if the mangekyou evolves to rinnegan that means it contradicts the story madara told of the sages son's rinnegan evolving to the sharingan wtf? :/ Who the hell is the guy in the mask!!

The twist is really epic! Madara being alive now is an insult to the legend of HASHIRAMA! I guess this twist is really needed. But I believe that Tobi or the present MADARA is somebody else. Maybe OROCHIMARU?? This is my theory// What do you think?

due to the epicness of the chapter, somewhere something got lost!!! as soon as Naruto threw the Rasen Shuriken and Madara activated his Rinnegan, he said and i quote "Thats a bit too much..." did he mean the Rasen Shuriken? or the combined techniques of Gaara and Naruto?? Is it an acknowledgment of the sheer awesomeness of the jutsu on display by the young shinobi?? what do you guys think??

here goes my theory of what transpired.
1.Madara fought Hashirama
2.Madara got some of Hashiramas DNA during the fight and with that somehow learned to activate the Rinnegan
3.To Use the Rinnegan properly,one has to have enormous amount of life giving Chakra.That's why you need the Sage "body".only an Uzumaki/Senju has this.
4.Madara revives Izuna with the Rinnegan but overexerts himself since he does not have enough life giving chakra for this.
5.Since Madara does not have enough Chakra,The Izuna that he revives is only a shell of his former self.
6.Knowing he'll die if he revive's Izuna,before his death Madara left intructions that Tobi(Izuna) has to find an Uzumaki(Nagato) and transplant the Rinnegan to him.Him being capable of using the Rinnegan properly.(or Madara did it himself before reviving Izuna,that is why he knew Nagato)
6.Once the Uzumaki(Nagato)child grows and learns to use the Rinnegan properly.He is to revive both Madara and Izuna to their prime.
7.But thing did not go according to plan,Unlike Madara which only goal is to bring the Uchiha out of the shadow of the Senju and to it's former glory.For Tobi(Izuna) it's all about revenge.Revenge to the rest of the Uchiha that betrayed them and Senju(Leaf village).In short it's like Itachi and Sasuke(Itachi=Madara and Sasuke=Izuna)
8.Kabuto and Orocimaru learned the secret of the Rinnegan and the So6P(You need Life giving Chakra of the Senju/Uzumaki to activate it and properly use it.).That's why the Sage was able to master it since he both have the eyes and body.
9.Kabuto through experimentation with Orochimaru learned to manipulate Senju DNA and gave it to Madara's body.that's why he said "you were completed to beyond what you were in your prime"
10.That is why the revived Edo-Madara is able to use the Rinnegan properly.it is also why Kabuto is claiming that he created that power.
Please tell me if there are holes in my theory.

no different from animals who could only fly and not swim evolving to lose wings for fins, you see it as digression but its evolution. But in the same token he found a way to evolve faster then generations span from sharingan to ems then to rinnegan which should take forever but because of his blood line of a direct descendant probably he did it in his life time.
its not a contradiction, it did evolve because it didnt start off as a sharingan as time passed and generations passed it evolved into what we see today

Actually this is very probable. Little brother getting revenge for big brother. Someone posted that the Uzumaki clan was wiped out earlier because Tobi was upset with them, but based on your theory Orochimaru could have done it trying to attempt to find someone that could under go the experiment, and thats why the 4ths wife was really sent to the Leaf. And all that was found was Nagato but Izuna got to him first, hmmm..

I don't think that Tobi is Madara!!! For Edo-Tensei to work, the soul of a particular person should be brought back from death for the body to operate! If madara is brought back, then tobi shouldn't exist, at all. Tobi's spirit will rush into Madara's body!
In that case, I believe tobi is izuna. Since, madara has the eyes of his brother as well, he must have formulated a plan to revive izuna's body and his after his fight with hashirama. Also he developed rinnegan before his death, he must have given his eyes to izuna for safekeeping. Izuna took up the name of tobi, created a body with zetsu's help and handed the rinnegan to nagato! The plan being nagato could revive izuna's body and izuna then would revive madara's body! That's why he was so intent in getting back nagato's eyes, because the eye belonged to madara.
Maybe, that's what meant by madara saying," things are not going according to plan"!!!

I still think that Tobi is actually Izuna. Now with the theory that Rinnegan is an improved Sharingan version its even more obvious to me.
I think that in the past when Izuna and Madara were fighting together and at some point Madara lost his sight of vision because of overusing his sharingan. My guess is that Madara had MS before he lost his eyes. Just like Madara, Izuna had MS aswell.
So when madara lost his eyes, Izuna gave his MS eyes to madara (or simply madara took them from him) it doesnt matter. The point is that when Madara got the MS eyes from his brother he obtained EMS. But his brother at that point was still alive. So my theory is that before the death of madara vs Hashirama or after, Izuna took the EMS eyes back from Madara and obtained Rinnegan. Cause like it was said in some theorys both EMS and Rinnegan requires a sacrifice.

i think that kishi has a few flaws waiting to be unveiled about edo-madara. hope so if not naruto would have a hard time beating this guy.

Maybe Madara didn't die in the battle with Hashirama, what if this was just an act? To win the time, and use Hashirama? We saw that Tobi have Hashirama body and use it to grow white Zetsu. Maybe Madara just fake his death, died of old age (or maybe illness like Itachi), implant his rinnegan to Nagato, used Hashirama body to grow clone (Tobi) that one day Tobi make his plan real and revive him. Or maybe Tobi not clone, he is Obito, saved by Madara from death and turn into his loyal apprentice. Its all have perfect sense: timing with Nagato, Tobi mangekyou sharingan powers that mirror Kakashi mangekyou sharingan powers, and this theory explain why Madara was dead and resurrected by Edo Tensei.

Actually, he might have known he was going to die by fusing his own dna with that of Harashima. This might be the reason he made such an elaborate plan to bring himself back to life in the first place.
Be reborn, with both his and Harashima's dna, in full power. He'd truly be the next So6p then. Even Kabuto claims he's back beyond his prime as an edo now. It's safe to say that if it was indeed his plan to be reborn with both DNA in order to gain so much power, he would go as far as to purposely die for it.
