tobi is somehow a zetsu clone with madara's sharingan and mind implanted after he died that night, it would explain why his hand is white like white zetsu, he sincerely believes he is madara, he was upset that nagato betrayed him and said "damn nagato you were suppose to use rinnee tensei on me"
and now edo madara was expecting to be revived from rinne tensei
it seems like the zetsu believes he is madara, itachi said " uchiha madara is very much alive..and so are his eyes and their power"

tobi said, he was a shell of his former self, and his goal was to become complete,

reuniting body and mind was possibly their goal, but nagato screwed up because of naruto, and betrayed them, but kabuto somehow got ahold of madara's dna and revived him, putting his plans to a halt

Lets say danzou kept his work with orochimaru hidden the same way kagami was pretending to be madara. Mabye konoha didnt make them aware of the ties to the village so that the act could be flawless

the So6p chose the younger brother "Senju clan" and the older son attacked the younger brother and lost. (probably lost his right eye)

tobi said this: i gave Rin'negan to Nagato. thats why he killed konan to discover where the body was to recover the eyes.

he also said he now possesses 3 paths : the power of Uchihas, Senjus and Rinnegan.

what i think? he wants to became the new So6p... how?

well So6p had the ten tails in his body (he was a jinchūriki) thats why he wants all bijus to fuse them to create the jubi (ten tails). one of the 6 paths...

he needs naruto to do that because naruto has 1 path (uzumaki) (remember the colar when he goes fox mode?) and the nine tails to have the ten tails.

He intends to use the moon, the prison of the Ten-Tails' body, but to have his powers he needs to destroy the moon to seal the jubii in his body (jinchūriki)

if he can do it he will have 5 paths: Uchihas+Senjus+Rinnegan+uzumaki+jinchūriki
so one is missing... maybe Byakugan ? nah i think the last path is .... THE SAGE MODE (PATH)

if he gets naruto and gets all 6 paths he can use this:

its easy he wants to became the new baby JESUS xD

if its obito,that means minato fought with d real madara.am thinking its actually obito,it can't b shisui,cos he gat no eye,it may b itachi father,but anbu am sure,and itachi confirmed their death.and abt madara younger brother,wat do we knx abt him.well after all our guessing,kishi will just show use another unexpected character,may b it is even so6p

New member but only joined really to pose this perspective on the topic even though we will have our answer next week in the manga 560. I believe there is a possibility the man behind the mask known as Tobi, may be the sage of six paths. I only believe this may be possible as what happened to his body after his death was not mentioned throughout the manga, all that was mentioned was his two sons, one which gained his visual strengths and one gained his body and chakra strengths, being the uchiha and senju clans. I wouldnt be able to say why it might be the sage of six paths i just believe it may be a possibility and would be pretty awesome. The plot and story line lets remember is only limited to the writers skill, imagination, and creativity, so really any theory may some how be true.

My Theory on the truth behind Tobi

Here's my theory, Zetsu is a being with just the First Hokage's DNA, maybe Tobi is a being with just Madara's DNA. I think Madara made Tobi with his DNA and infused Nagato, a special chakra Uzumaki with his own DNA. Made Tobi by using his own DNA, which is why Tobi looks like him and made Nagato with his own DNA and that of Uzumaki. Ever notice that Nagato and Madara have some similar features? For example, they both have that weird line underneath their eyes and their long hair covers one of their eyes. I think Madara created Nagato for two things
1. To read Rikudou's tablets(if Madara was fighting Hashirama to get his DNA, then he must have had the moon eye plan back then and how can he have it then if he hadnt read the tablets then?)
2. To revive him if he died against Hashirama(pretty obvious)

But Nagato was a failed experiment, he had rinnegan but couldnt call its power but could at least read the tablets, Madara thought that Hashirama's DNA will 'complete' Nagato so he challenged Hashirama

And he created Tobi to

1. Take the DNA and implant it in Nagato's body.
2. Ensure that Nagato revives him.

How can Nagato a kid at the time revive him? Rinne Tensei just wont be possible. I think maybe it had something to do with Tobi's dimension. Maybe Tobi was to implant Madara's eyes and warp dead Madara to the pocket dimension where time has no meaning(Fu and Torune were there without food or water and didnt die) and when Nagato was ready, he would revive Madara. But things didnt go as planned, Nagato's rinnegan had not been awakened and maybe Tobi thought it couldnt be awakened so he abandoned Nagato, transplanted dead Madara's eyes and implanted Hashirama to further strengthen himself and began growing that tree, Nagato couldnt achieve actual physical human growth(Madara said he managed to grow) since he was implanted with Uchiha Madara's DNA till he awakened his rinnegan when his parents died, it will be a space of about 30 years since Madara died against Hashirama when Nagato's parents died and Nagato couldnt grow till then. He was a brat then and he was still a brat 30years after so Tobi abandoned him, maybe he couldnt kill him because of sentimental attachment after 30 years(remember when he saw Nagato's dead body, he seemed sorta sad) and went into hiding, then Nagato's 'parents' found him, Tobi wiped his memories with genjutsu so he remembered nothing, then he abandoned real Madara's dead body and continued to further the moon eye plan along with his new creation Zetsu that he made from the tree. Tobi was immortal since he implanted Hashirama's cells so he lived this long. As he waited patiently in the shadows for an opportunity to reclaim the nine tails from Kushina, he discovered that Nagato had awakened the Rinnegan and was with Yahiko and Konan so he somehow began to secretly manipulate Yahiko who then formed Akatsuki(Red Moon in relation to the Moon Eye Plan) when Yahiko died, Nagato re awakened his Rinnegan so Tobi came out of the shadows and began to manipulate Nagato, using Akatsuki they conquered Amegakure and turned it to a base of operations, then Tobi sought to get the nine tails. Tobi had gotten a solid hold on Amegakure through Nagato. Then Orochimaru defected from Konoha and joined Akatsuki but still kept contact with Danzo, Danzo investigated into Akatsuki and found Tobi and told Tobi of Kushina soon giving birth as a chance for Tobi to reclaim Kyubi and for Danzo to eliminato Minato through Tobi. Danzo blamed the Uchiha clan for the Kyubi incident so that no one will discover his collaboration with Tobi and ordered Itachi to eliminate the clan to get Sharingan for Izanagi that Orochimaru planned to do for him, in exchange for Danzo giving Orochimaru the First and Second Hokage DNA for Edo Tensei and help Danzo eliminate the Third. Itachi discovered Tobi's existence and gave him a chance to get revenge on Uchiha(Tobi saw it as an opportunity to forever seal the secret of the Kyubi incident and stockpile a few good eyes) Tobi was looking to expand Akatsuki so he took control of Yagura and turned Kiri into the Bloody Mist but the genjutsu was broken so he abandoned that but not before recruiting Kisame. Pain was leading Akatsuki but from then we already know everything else. What do you think?

have you thought of this? ok it says that obito died in the village of grass right. Zetsu is from the village of grass, and he said that he found someone on one of his missions. thus he found Rin, but what if he actually found obito and took his eye, And the Zetsu u see now is a clone(and if your wondering oh why isnt tobi's skin black and white? hes zetsu he can transform, duh!). Then it also could be obito in the end because it never said he died it jus said he got crushed by a boulder.. now if im not mistaken kimimaru took 200 tons of sand pressure and come out of it, and a boulder compared to that is nothing. so what if he woke up lost his memory zetsu found obito and now they are a team.plus that would explain why tobi has bolts in his gear; to hold his bones in place.Also, ever notice zetsu is never by himself unless he was specifically sent to do something.

He has a grave.He's weak unlike Kimimaro.

Yeah this is such a good theory cuz a 13 year old kid with half of his body remaining can beat up a nine tailed Jinchuuriki.
