k itachi had an accomplice when he assasinated his clan
izuna/tobi was that accomplice because he wanted to avenge his brother by wiping out the clan that overthrew madara

"If" Tobi were to be Obito here are my reasons:
1.Obito faked his death using Genjutsu.
2.The rock crushed a part of Obito's (which explains bags on Tobi's face).

The man behind the mask is still madara, he used a kind of jutsu b4 he died that brought him back, thats why he said he is just a mare shell of his former self. Kabuto just brought back the full flaged madara making two madaras. if not so how can u explain all the infor he knows, the dress, madara weapon and to even deceive itachi

More facts: In the Game NUNS2 they did not put his name Madara for a reason they didn't want their game to messed up and they knew tobi was really Obito and that's why they even gave him Fire ball jutsu and stiff they only revealed one sharingan eye and had him say Madara or something because that is what he claimed to be and Madara Uchiha must have found Obito or something right before he died and then Obito got wood style or something just you guys wait your gonna regret saying that Obito isn't tobi when they made it obvious now!!! Maybe though this has a chance that Madara is 2 different people and he split himself up or something because then again people remember that Madara Uchiha is a freak.

But It may be Kagami as well-- that guy have more chances to know about Nagato and Madara both. as well as Shisui and izuna... his timeline matches all of them and he is the guy who appears and disappears suddenly in the manga.

have you thought of this? ok it says that obito died in the village of grass right. Zetsu is from the village of grass, and he said that he found someone on one of his missions. thus he found Rin, but what if he actually found obito and took his eye, And the Zetsu u see now is a clone(and if your wondering oh why isnt tobi's skin black and white? hes zetsu he can transform, duh!).

Then it also could be obito in the end because it never said he died it jus said he got crushed by a boulder.. now if im not mistaken kimimaru took 200 tons of sand pressure and come out of it, and a boulder compared to that is nothing. so what if he woke up lost his memory zetsu found obito and now they are a team.plus that would explain why tobi has bolts in his gear; to hold his bones in place.Also, ever notice zetsu is never by himself unless he was specifically sent to do something.

Honestly I'm finding it hard not to be rude.... but any Tobi = Obito theory makes me gag.

Your line of thought that "Kimimaru survived 200 tons of pressure, so why couldn't Obito survive being crushed by a boulder?" is completely ridiculous. Keep in mind that only Kimimaru would have been able to survive that. He had an extremely strong skeletal structure, due to is KG, that allowed him to survive. Obito was a weak ass 10 year old who had barely awakened his sharingan, there is no way he could survive being crushed by a 10 ten boulder. And not only that, but the entire cave collapsed afterward thus making his survival even more remote.

Fact is, even Rin realized that Obito was done for. The fact that Obito was so willing to give up his sharingan is proof that he knew he was going to die. It is absolutely naive to think he survived. And the whole Zetsu is from the grass village thing is no evidence whatsoever. For all we know, it was made up that Zetsu is from the grass, possibly for the sole purpose of him having a home village. But the biggest hole in the theory is how Obito could possibly know everything Tobi does and what the heck would be his motive for doing what he has done? Seriously any Tobi = Obito theories make me sick and make me think that people make aliases with 1 or 2 posts just for the sole purpose of posting ridiculous theories and trying to get reactions out of people....

There really is no hard evidence that Obito is Tobi though, he has no motive and is dead, his beliefs directly go against what Tobi is doing now, choosing to believe Obito is Tobi is kind of sad with how little evidence there is at all toward that subject.

Obito has no motive to kill the uchiha clan or kill minato or attack konoha for that matter.

Why is Rin's death a secret? why does kakashi say I couldn't protect you both when kakashi nearly dies?

even if his beloved Rin died because of Konoha? remember how naruto got when yahiko pain pretended to have killed hinata.

If Tobi is Madara's soul then how did Kabuto revive the real Madara?

Edo Tensei brings the SOUL back and imprisons it in the living sacrifice. Madara's soul was brought back, he is not Tobi.

So first off all, we know that Madara was fighting with Hashirama and died in their final fight. But they had some more several fights before this last fight and I came to the point that Madara managed to get some of Hashiramas cells in one of those previous fights.

While they had a break of fighting ( maybe a period of some months ) he used to experiment with those Cells and created the two parts of Zetsu ( I will come to Zetsu and his mission later ).
And as it was stated, Madaras younger brother was killed by Madara himself, to gain the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. He killed him but unlikely as everyone thinks, he didn't stealed both of his eyes, only one, because he took his body to experiment with this body in his laboratoy and trying to implant Hashiramas Cells in him, too.

After he gained his younger brothers body and created Zetsu, Madara used the same Jutsu as Muu, the splitting Jutsu.
Kabuto himself states, that it splits your body into 2 pieces. It splits your power and I believe it also splits your soul.

Unlikely as the Kage bunshin no Jutsu the "clone" doesn't disappear when you die.

So here it comes, Madara managed to split himself in 2 pieces to transplant one of his two bodies soul into his brother Izuna Uchiha.
The reason why he used his younger brother was, that they were almost equal on every level.
He would not had to be afraid, that the new bodies abilities would be bad and Izuna Uchiha would die easily. Madaras parted soul needed someone strong and as we know, Izuna was indeed very strong.

The mission of the black Zetsu was to find someone, who was able to control the Rinnegan and resurrect Madara himself in some 20-30 years later.
As far as we know, black Zetsu is somehow connected to the ground.
Black Zetsu was only developed to look around for someone who is able to control the Rinnegan - he found Nagato, with the power and will of the Uzumakis, he was a perfect choice.
After black Zetsu found someone ( Nagato ) and told it to Madara, Madara began to revive his brothers body with one of his souls.

Izuna alias Tobi was chosen to bring the Rinnegan to Nagato and take care of him, so he would someday be able to revive Madara with the Rinne tensei.
That's why Madara states that Nagato , the little brat, was able to resurrect him.
White Zetsus mission was to take care of his splitted souls body, Izuna Uchiha, what he did, when he got crushed and his arm was destroyed.
Remember, we saw some withe thing coming out of his sleeve.
The reason why he left one eye to Izuna and took only one was, because a body without eyes is useless.

Madaras plan was to live way longer then the others cause he wanted to become the strongest, the one, who leads everyone to piece. He knew he was gonna die someday by the hand of Hashirama, so he made up this plan.

By being revived in several years later, Hashirama would not have been any match for him anymore and he could have been able to take the control of Konoha.

I agree with the Madara is half of himself right now or at least i hope so

I think it will be more accurate to say that the original Madara created an imprint of himself and gave Nagato the Rinnegan before he died. Tobi said that he gave Nagato the Rinnegan. Given that the tsuchikage said that Madara should of died 80 years ago Madara had to be 80 or 90 something when Nagato was born. When Madara is first resurrected he talks about how Nagato has matured and the time has finally came. Madara planed to resurrect himself with nagatos jutsu.

Stop Playing the Tobi Guessing Game

I honestly find it so amusing that after Madara is revealed to be dead and returns as Kabuto's Trump Card Edo Summon all the Narutards be flocking over who Tobi is.

Stop it with these sh*tty theories u pulled out of ur assess. Some of the sh*t I read hear are f*cking ridiculous. Uchiha Kagami, Obito, Izuna, Shisui ? Seriously?

Let me ask you this. If any of those characters turned out to be Tobi, what would be the reaction be? How would the plot move forward, if any of THOSE characters turned out to be Tobi? "F*ck yes I guessed right!!! I'm gonna brag about it on Narutobase!!!!" There's no plot twist or fulfillment within the manga if ANY of those characters turned out to be Tobi. The story of Naruto won't deepen if Uchiha Kagami, (a guy was wasn't even mentioned in a flash, he was just there) turned out to. If the identity of Tobi was revealed to be anyone, that character would have SIGNIFICANCE. When Madara was revealed, there is significance to his appearance, it means something to the plot. After reading Naruto for years now, don't any of you guys not realize that Kishi never mentions a character or gives them a thorough back story unless that character carries importance to the present plot of Naruto and moves it forward. All the characters you people are guessing, have alrdy served their purpose in the manga or are completely irrelevant to the plot. If Kishi were to make Tobi's identity one of those characters, he would discredit himself as an author, for not foreshadowing his identity beforehand and giving that character a significant role in the manga. Please use your common sense and stop trying to find self fulfillment in sharing ur thoughts. It makes no sense at times. So what, I can string together a bunch of loosely tied facts and claim Tobi is a baby panda. Do I post those facts as a theory? No cause I know better


To be honest with you all I think Tobi is a guy named Tobi, and the Nagato Madara speaks of is a rainbow unicorn. It only makes sense seriously

A well developed explanation of a theory that seems to be gaining ground since the introduction of Muu's technique, but I don't think it holds a lot of water. First, it is very unlikely that Madara knows Muu's tech. No one has explained how he may have learned the tech and even if it existed before Muu's time. Second, its pretty unrealistic to imagine this tech splitting your soul. I mean I suppose its possible, but we know that shadow clones have a consciousness but do they actually share the same soul? IMO, no.

I think the only explanation that can be made at this point, apart from a soul splitting theory, is that Tobi is the original Zetsu and the real Madara only died in the last 20 years. I mean considering Edo Madara knows Nagato, he couldn't have died too long ago. I mean at this point, I just refuse to believe the split soul theory, the only logical explanation is that Tobi is a zetsu clone, possibly using an Uchiha's body.

It's hard to make a theory while knowing only about 10 %.
I know what you mean, but this is called Theory for a reason and not proof.
Whatever, thank you for your opinion.
