The more I think about this, the more possible it seems. Since Madara mentioned Nagato right out of the gate, that means he expected to be revived by Nagato at some point. This means that he mistaked IWR for the Rinnegan's revival technique.

But since he said "Nagato has grown" that means he assumed Nagato was now at a point where he was able to revive people from a long time ago. Clearly once he learned it was IWR, he realized he hadn't been revived for real.

As to what this all means....... I really don't know but it seems there is growing evidence in the direction that Madara has two bodies. But the way I see it, the only possibility is that Tobi is a Zetsu clone (most likely the original Zetsu) who know has all Madara's memories and maybe all of his techs, but does not contain Madara's soul and knows that he's not actually madara........ really crazy to think about though......

Obito = Mask Man/Tobi

I don't say this just because their names are similar. Not long ago, the theory of obito being the Mask Man/Tobi was just as simple as the relationship of the names that both Obito and Tobi have in common. However, for the past couple of chapters the theory of obito being tobi grew larger and larger. Now, there are events in naruto manga that links obito to tobi.

1. The name
2. The double personality
3. The similar eye power that kakashi and tobi possess
4. The missing grave/body of Obito
5. The secret of Rin's Death
6. The appearance of Tobi
7. The appearance of Edo Uchiha Madara

1. Name is hardly a reason, give a more definite reason
2. We see Obito's personality once, and hate to say it but neither of Tobi's double personalities match Obito's
3. We don't know if Tobi's Space-Time jutsu is ocular based
4. The grave isn't missing and as far as we know his body was crushed under a rock some where in the Land of Stones
5. Obito was dead before she was, her death hardly proves anything
6. The appearance of Tobi? lol? What is that even supposed to prove
7. It proves Tobi isn't Madara, not that it could be Obito

All of your evidence is circumstantial and most of it doesn't make sense.

Guys I am still shocked! This is crazy!! Everyone has him labeled as Madara, video games, naruto pedia, our minds, etc! And now Kishi changed it lol. Well this explains why he never completely took of his mask. So this guy in my opinion is Obito or the Sage or the sage's son. It cud also be Izuna. But like how does this guy know sooo much, and also has izanagi etc. There is wayy to much proof indicating hes Madara but guess we were all wrong.

I voted for Izuna Uchiha. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Madara's mind and body were split into two. I think it'd be awesome if Tobi was either the Sage of 6 Paths or the 2nd Hokage Tobirama Senju.

It's gotta be Izuna. Remember when Tobi was explaining to Sasuke the history of the Uchiha? Tobi got extremely upset when his former clan members accused him of stealing his brother's eyes. Perhaps it was the other way around. Izuna took Madara's eyes. Think about it. Itachi and Sasuke's kinship mirrors Madara and Izuna's. Madara probably let him take them because he thought highly of his little brother.

Who is "Tobi"?

The new chapter tells us that the man behind the mask is not Madara.But is that true?If we underestimate Madara again we might just be fooled.Madara is a master at schemes,he could,although very difficultly,pull of something like that.Or it might've been Kabuto.I believe that the man behind the mask is Madara Uchiha or his brother,Izuna.

I read in a thread that there were lots of proof that "Tobi" is Madara.One proof is that "Tobi" was recognized by Kisame as he former Mizukage,Madara Uchiha.I know that isn't enough proof as he might've maybe shapeshifted in some bizarre way,but there might simply be 2 Madaras.One might be fake.Or maybe one of them is Izuna.

What's your theories?
