Because probably tobi has rinnegan(currently) and he gave it to child nagato to create required conditions for rinnegan to appear and then, when it appears, recollect it.madara thought he was revived by nagato.

The reason why i dont get the Kagami theory is that they wouldnt let a Elder escape the uchiha massacre so easily especialy if he was trained under the 2nd he was right?
so i doubt it wud be easy for him to go missing he wudda have to have been accounted for in the uchiha massacre and the S06p burried his body on the moon -_-

If Kagami was Madara then Kagami would've been the one that helped Itachi.

Tobi i think is still Madara because if Madara knew Nagato then Madara would have been alive during the Uchiha clan massacre, during the 4th Mizukage thing and such. But seeing as he died with his armor on he died in battle or so, or after it. But learned this soul body transfer and transfered into Tobi while his real body rotted away and died. This is confusing now it's WHO IS BEHIND THE MASK and all these SHISUI UCHIHA threads.

Posted this a while ago on diff. threads. Because everybody opens a thread about this, i think its my turn

Very interesting theories around here, but they all forgot ONE thing:
Madara KNOWS Nagato. He KNOWS his ability to ressurect people and more important: he KNOWS Nagato will ressurect him! So: They seem to know each other, and they seem to have a relationship between each other. So here is my Theory about Tobi, that guy claiming himself to be Madara, like he did know him and wanted him to be feared and known:

I think its pretty easy, isnt it?

- First thing was: Tobi takes "his eyes" back (he said he gave "Nagato the eyes")
--> conclusion: The "Nagato" we know, had NOT the Rinnengan from birth on!

- Now Madara says: Nagato has grown up. So he knows Nagato.

Conclusion:
The Nagato we know is just a normal Uzumaki, a person that can handle the eyes.
But: He is NOT the real Nagato.

The real nagato lived at the times of Madara Uchiha. Maybe he was a child at this time. As he wanted to achieve full power, he had to take one Uchihas eyes to control them. Like Kakashi needed time to control them fully and to unleash EMS. But he needed someone for his real eyes. So he searched for someone that can handle his real eyes. So he gave his eyes the kid we know as Nagato.

So:
Tobi is the real nagato!
And Madara knows him. The time gap is gone, and we now understand why Tobi said he gave "Nagato" his eyes.

heh forgot about that but why isnt kagami under missing nin or evver been mentioned apart from in danzo flashback it feels like to little past for him to be jolted in as a main charecter thoguh kishi could suprise us neva knw

i think its izuna... tobi only shows his right sharingan, right?.... i think izuna only gave his left eye to madara to have a EMS... like shisui gave his left eye to itachi...

Well I just had a little thought...

1. So can there be a little clue or relationship about Izuna having similar looks to Sasuke and both being younger brothers of Great Uchihas, Madara and Itachi.. EMS?

2. Sasuke (Younger Brother) taking Itachi's (Older Brother) eyes.. just a little thought... what if Izuna (Younger Brother) also took Madaras, (Older Brother) or an exchange of trading eyes? Where else can Madara's original eyes be? They can both really just switch eyes right? BUT I'm not really sure how the implanting other eyes thing work... not sure if they cut into the eye and remove the eyeballs and replace it or whatever.

3. ONLY maybe if The masked man really was Izuna... that means he really did deceive everyone and could he be lieing about his story about dieing and giving up his eyes to Madara etc?

4. My guess is "The Masked Man" helped Itachi with the Uchiha Annihilation so he can get rid of all possible shinobi who may be able to stop him with his Moons Eye Plan? Or maybe he needs all those sharingan eyes for something?

5. One thing I thought about, how come Kabuto didn't rise up Izuna with Impure Resurrection ? If Madara and Izuna (apparently the brothers were said to be equals in power) were side by side then couldn't he possibly have a huge advantage in the war and towards the Masked Man?

6. I still have doubts about what I said here because the Masked Man has a space-time Jutsu similar to Kakashi's Sharingan which he received from Obito. Maybe it really is Obito behind the mask or just his eye? But the other thing that throws me off about the mask man being Obito is that when he fought with the fourth hokage, Obito shouldn't even be that experienced and old yet since they were practically just teenagers?

Makes sense, also would explain why Tobi keeps his sharingan activated at all times, like Kakashi does.

why didnt madara break the door the first tome kabuto summonded him??
