to put it in a nutshell:

Tobi is someone who:

*)hates the Uchiha and Konoha
*)had contact with Madara (knows everything - abilities, youth etc - about him)
*)had contact with Hashirama (Cells)
*)has Obitos Sharingan (same abilities like Kakashis eye - i´m sure tobi uses the same second dimension like Kakashis Kamui)
*)is very smart (knows about the sage, uchiha, the jubi) and had great connections to Konoha (knows and hates danzo)

suggestions:
*) Obito: pro - has Obitos Sharingan (100%) ; contra - doesn´t deactivate his Sharingan -indicator for a transplanted eye.
and if he really is Obito one question has to be raised: what happend to Rin? Maybe that would explain his hatred towards konoha and the Uchiha. But if it would be Obito Kakashi should have recognized his chakra in past meetings.
*) Rin??? pro - would have known how to get Obitos second eye
*)????

Impossible:

Madara (ha ha),
Shisui (gave Itachi his eye and Itachi would have recognized his chakra), any other Uchiha who lived in the village with Itachi etc. ,
Sage (ridiculous to think even of this possibility)

It would also be interesting to know why madara knows anything about nagato. impossible because madara must have been dead when nagato was born (it must be a translation error!)

Not really dude obito's other eye got crushed if tobi could use crushed sharingans then why would he say damn you danzo u crushed shisui's eye or something?

Tobi can not be Madara. Yes Izanagi makes death an illusion but you can't split yourself in to two with it. You only have one soul and Madara has been resurrected. So Tobi is someone else completely.

I was wrong, My theory will end up changing because Izuna is not the only possiblity

However it is NOT Obito. No matter what any noob says.

nice...hoping for madara vs naruto...1 on 1...the man behind the mask eh?? its usually someone who you'd least expect, so my bet would be on Hashirama(okay dont ask me why, its just a random guess and yeah its as random as it can possibly get) or it could be the uchiha ancestor but I would expect Kabuto to have a hard time finding his dna samples as Sosp is supposed to be a myth and was supposed to have existed in a biblical(!) narutoverse...so the same logic goes for Sosp's sons...

so Iguess that madara some split hos self into 2 when he foght the 1st hokage just like ex-tsuchikage.. and one is dead which hase revived now and the other is the one behind the mask... and thats why madara said the he's the half of his stringht when he attacked the kages meeting ...

i honestly think, black zetsu is the main villian, since he claims he is the land,
and hes been for god knows how long, thats why he knows so much info, on everything madara knew,

Well looks like my guess who tobi is still can be right I still feel it might be saskue and itachis father the only other person is madara little brother but he to would be to old to still be live during all this thats why I lean more to saskue and Itachi's father

5/5 chapter it was fantastic. congratulations to those who was being cautious of the tobi = madara theory, sadly im not one those people , its a sad sad time for me right now. but once again, congrats to those people who banked on izuna or someone, you have the upper hand RIGHT NOW.

lol crazy thought , MAYBE the guy behind the mask is madara 2.0 , separate being but has a copy of the mind of the original madara, not a normal clone but a sort of "testube baby" , right before madara died he set it up to finish off the work. so then madara probably left a message to the new version to "do your part and then resurect me when complete" , hence why real madara wasnt surprised when he opened up the coffin.

On a side note, did anyone else think that Sai's root sealing technique was really cool. He had taken out 3 of the swordsman with it already, with some assistance obviously. And I thought the big assed scroll was funny, highly impractical for a war, unless you seal it in a smaller scroll haha.

Tobi is really one of a kind, a super villain... he even fooled Itachi into believing he was Madara. No wonder he always wears a mask!!
But why was he after shisui's eye after Danzo was dead? He already had EMS, why would he want a non EMS?

I wouldn't think of people who have said before it could be Izuna has the upperhand because like everyone at some point their theories have changed, even if it slightly changed, it still has changed. Though this is the best chapter by far, it demolished loads of theories and created twice as much more.

However I only have two people in mind who Tobi could be.

One is the weakest one which is the elder son of the So6P
or the one I have always believed in which is that it is Izuna.

Although I have to say I really won't take in at all if someone says it coul dbe Obito, I will just b**ch slap them comments away from my eyes.
