stand alone game counsels are stupid , at some point all the portable game counsels will just sell their firmware as android simulators , and ps3 and xbox will either turn into pc's or will do the same thing

the firmware used in PS and xbox is based on unix , while linux and osX are both based on unix and are easier to make games for , at some point ubisoft and EA will realize that game consoles games are being hack as much or more than games made for computers , and it will be more profitable for them to make games for pc's
after all in full OS's they can add their own levels of security like DRM and serial numbers and activations unlike PS and xbox firmware
believe me it might not be soon , but this will become a reality U_U
