Agreed 100% During his Mangekko (SP) Sharingan stage he sucked! Needed help for everything, while abusing Amateratsu (in cool ways) and Susano'o. He was saved countless times, against Bee and 5 kage. He was done for both times. Anyways, bottom line is that he sucks. Too much arrogance maybe. Others are too powerful. He'll hopefully use Amaterasu to it's full use when he is more powerful that the opponent. The jutsu is only as strong as the caster.

amaterasu doesnt suck..... its actually boring! it makes a fight boring! its both defence and offence jutsu which doesnt give a chance to the other fighter making it boring....

Amaterasu>--hachibi, raikage's hand and jiraiya's frog belly. Able to burn anything to ash, unable to be extinguish, the shape is able to be manipulated, and is also able to act as a shield around the users body. Thus amaterasu is capable of pawning all. Therefore if There's nothing special about the tech in your eyes, then something is cleary wrong with your vision.

Is he serious. Ameaterasu defeated the eight tails, it burns off the raikage arm and he could have died. it can burn people alive. The sand dosent put out the ametarsu it just blocked it. The ameatarsu is the strongest fire technique and it can kill anyone if not carefully. The ameaterasu is not lame its one of the best justu out there.

I see where you are coming from.. So far we have seen Amaterasu can be doged by Raikage's Shushin no jutsu, Orochimaru's hydra replacement technique and being blocked by Gaara's sand. Those three are the only ways to counter Amaterasu for a NON-SHARINGAN user in real time... Danzo's Izanagi and Kakashi's kamui both use sharingan..
Having said that even if Raikage dodged it, Sasuke used Amaterasu for attack as well as defence and Raikage stupidly attacked and lost his arm.. this shows it is sort of a S-Rank technique... Samurai's wear protection but Amaterasu can still burn them and Kankuro's chakra threads only took of the protective gear of the Samurai... had the fire burnt a little longer the Samurai would have been toast.
So basically you can seal Amaterasu like Jiraiya did or remove it off someones clothing if it hasn't touched their skin like Kankuro did, BUT ONLY after the fire has been cast. But in a real time fight these techniques won't come in handy against Amaterasu.
In essence as you become aware of a technique ninja's usually develop ways of countering it, espicially great ones. Jiraiya didn't seem to know about Amaterasu and it looks like Raikage and his colleagues did some research on the technique and most likely found a way to counter it. Darui and the other guy seem to know about Itachi's Amaterasu skills during Sasuke's fight with Raikage. In short the more a tecnique is exposed the more likely it is that it can be countered unless we talk about the 4th's FTGT.

The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan can tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular.

I agree with people saying it is one of the best fire spells... but I still stand firm with my belief that it is not something to be in awe about.

Then what is Bee doing right now. He sure as hell hasn't been sealed yet.
Raikage intentionally hit the technique with his hand. Which of course, was dumb because if you hit ANY technique it's supposed to hurt.
Gaara on the other hand, blocked it. He didn't smother the flames, but he doesn't have to rebottle that portion of sand when he can simply make more. Karin survived it for about 10 seconds before Sasuke put the flames out.
It'd be like me punching a brick and expecting nothing.
Amaterasu is a GREAT technique. But people act like it's the ultimate ace in the hole.

Amateratsu can be use as an offensive and defensive jutsu. raikage couldn't stop amateratsu. its that he took the pain and didn't think before attacking sasuke. Amateratsu isn't that strong but it is useful. judging you are just a sasuke hater end of story.
