Who killed the 1st hokage

we all know that the 1st hokage defeated madara and crap and we saw even the five kages were afraid of madara, we never knew if he defeated madara on his own or was aided, but him been that strong and all, me would love to ask who would defeat such a strong and well recognised shinobi as he died on the battle field

Wrong, Kakuzu was defeated by Hashirama Senju due his Mokuton.

Yeah i agree.... The man who couldn't be beaten by Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, can't possibly be defeated by anyother foe..... He was the top ninja of his time and invented a new elemental style, perhaps thats the reason he died... Remember the illness of itachi who was a prodigy in K.K genkai and also Kimimaro, he was also a prodigy in K.K genkai, so what i am saying is that perhaps Shodaime Hokage also got an illness like itachi and kimimaro got, and died of it....

iThink he and the First Kazekage died fighting each other. iJust guess'd thinking of the 2nd Mizu N Tsuchi kage's.
