Storyboard Mission:
Scout potential threats

Lilith had gone up early in the morning the following day after the rescue of the traders. Alucard was about to leave the room they had rented over the night. He was thrilled to begin the hunt of the Daedra but in order to even begin doing so, they needed directions which hopefully would be provided to them with some scouting and intel-gathering. He found Lilith in the taverns dining space and juggled different kinds of food. She seemed to get along with everyone she met unless they had a fear for her inhuman perks that appeared on her. Alucard was rather the polar opposite, the people who attempted to get along with him usually were handed the short-end of the stick. He talked to Lilith with his mental link, to not disrupt the ongoing pleasantries.

Since you got to know these people why don't you do your old man a favor while he taps in to the booze and ask if they've spotted any cultists of the Daedra recently.

Ohayōgozaimasu!!! Uhmm, hai..

Alucard went and sat next to the table where she was at. He asked for nothing but a glass of red wine while he let his daughter do the talking and while she did, he would cloak his Tenseigan behind his glasses and point his hat down over his face as if to give the impression that he was resting. In reality, however, he looked all over the place and with his telescopic vision he could look throughout almost the entire desert while his chakra sensory locked him in on any voids or wells of chakra density within the landmark. He was truly all-seeing at this point, something he did not have while fighting the Daedra back then a few years ago. With all the commotion of the clan first and teamwork, it'd been a long while since he was going solo on things not concerning the Hellsing Organization.

Sorry to interrupt your meditation, but i've heard that there is some (by the locals standards) suspicious activity in the far west. Specifically a place called "The Bone Fields". Is that somewhere your eyes can see from here?

Hold on..

Alucard tilted his head slightly and looked to the north-west. Indeed, his eyes had the potential to look across the desert in the direction he was familiar with. The Bone Fields, however, he had been to but that was during the outbreak of the Red Fever. How curious, that place would be a necromancer haven with all of the cadavers laying about in the scorched sands all too familiar with the Blood Fields back in Tobusekai. This remote place contained a few scattered chakra signatures but it was probably traders and nothing too suspicious but it was still enough to go with to convince Alucard to take the tip and head out. The two headed out of the tavern and began the hunt of the enemy organizations. As night fell, Alucard kept his eyes on their destinations and scouted several chakra signatures from different approaches gathering in the middle of nowhere in the landmark. It would seem these suspicious activities were held by nightfall, useful information indeed.

Grrr, gotdammit Nappa... grr your like a space cockroach.. I told you the Bee's are fine now go to the light or something before I kill you!!

After trippin his ballz off and hearing crazy music and of all things Nappa Kamizaru, Geets awakens quickly realizing that what he was currently looking at was the desert ground, and he was laying flat on his face. Rolling over to his back, Geets peers up at the sky and the vultures circling above and tries to shake the cobwebs off. Looking over to his right, he see's Boit curled up tightly and snoring like a volcano. Seems he was sleeping off those delicious plants they found and ate in the last area they visited. How many days had went by? Vegeta could only imagine, the psychedelic experience had seemed to last an eternity.

Waking Boitata up and giving him some water, the Dynamic duo continue moving on..

[Coming from Here]

Azriel arrives at the small village to take refuge after a long journey and resupply. It was a tiresome journey travelling through these lands and he needed a moment to rest. The Journey was a long one, and the sand storms made it all the more difficult. He headed into town to the well to get fresh drinking water and gather his thoughts.

Mission Start:

-Save yourself from a strong faction (A)

What a way to wake up, a blade against his throat with several guns aimed at him. What a pain in the ass. The blade to his throat he recognised from his adventure. The blade belonged to the leader of the meeting he'd been spying on before, the one forming a force to invade other lands. How could he have been so careless. He found himself in a situation he'd tried to avoid and now he was a prisoner. He could try escape but he wasn't sure how trigger happy his foes would be. He'd just wanted to rest, sleeping in the shade of a tree, he should of thought this through more. He looks for his blade and staff but they were being held by the man at the back of the group. It was a small force, all armed and ready for battle.

Azriel: Well to what do I owe the pleasure?

They all began to laugh as the man with the blade pressed it towards his throat lifting the blade under his chin to force him to rise to his feet.

Boss: You can call me Mizaki, though I'm surprised you didn't hear my name while you listened in on our meeting.

Azriel: Oh, you saw me... Mizaki. Well what can I say, curiosity got the best of me. So what now?

Mizaki: Well, depending on how much you heard and who you told, depends on how long you'll survive and how much you will suffer. So how about it, how much do you wish to suffer?

Azriel:
Okay Okay. I've never been one for torture and the smell of that guy is punishment enough...

He gestured to the man holding a gun to his right up got angry pushing the gun closer to Azriel's head. Mizaki placed his hand on the gun as a gesture for his ally to lower it.

Mizaki:
He's trying to provoke you to cause a distraction so he can try to escape. Don't fall for his tricks. He will soon lose his sense of humour when we rip him limb from limb, piece at a time, starting with ripping out that sarcastic tongue of his. Now if you wanna be like that kid, no point in wasting time.

Azriel was trying to stall while thought of the best way to get out of this situation. He was short on time it would seem and with so many weapons pressed against him all at once, there was clearly only one answer.

Azriel: Look, I only heard something about you gathering weapons and some other crap but I only came here for sleep and a drink in this heat. I never expected to cause any trouble like this. I didn't tell anyone anything, we can all just go on and keep it that way?

Mizaki let out a babaric laugh at Azriel's reply.

Mizaki: You were never leaving here alive if you told anyone or not kid... only question was how much we make you suffer first.

Azriel smiled at his response.

Azriel: That's good then, I don't have to feel bad for what I'm about to do...

As Mizaki went to push his blade into Azriel's throat through anger and several shots went off, releasing chakra bullets at him, he released a burst of chakra from every point in his body that pushed the blade away, as he began to spin, creating a full rotation pushing his chakra out around him pushing everyone back in the process and deflecting all the shots. The guns and other weapons would be knocked from his foe's hands, including Azriel's stolen weapons which he grabbed as he stopped spinning and began running. He sprinted through the series of buildings now and out to the end of the town. He ducked and weaved through the streets aiming to lose them in the process. Just as he reached the outside of the town the sands rose up forming a wall blocking his path as several shinobi rose for the sand, the one's he'd knocked back. He heard a familiar voice behind him.

Mizaki: These are our lands and you think you can get away from us that easily? You're gonna regret trying.

Well it was time to fight it would seem but he'd at least achieved something, he was out of the town and so he wouldn't harm anyone in the process. Now the true fight was on. Waves of sand shot up all around him. They were aiming to crush him. He quickly performed a few hand seals summoning his steel gourd. This was his own ultimate defence. As the sand surrounded him on all sides he used his hands control the blades within forming an orb of steel around him, preventing the sand form crushing him. He'd leave no gaps as to prevent any grains of sand entering the dome. Though he wasn't sure where to go from here. He activated his Byakugan to look all around him to see what kind of numbers he was looking at. He could take most of them out in one sweep if he could see where they stood.

As he looked around he could see them gathering more sand forcing layers upon layers over him, they were hoping to bury him and crush him at the same time. He'd have to act fast before the pressure became too much. He pushed his hands outwards as the layers of steel shards shot outwards, pushing the sand back as several blades shot at every foe around him aiming for their heart thanks to the Byakugan showing him where they were. With the blades striking the shinobi controlling the sand the pressure from the sand would stop, as their blood now stained it. Though the ones not phased by his attacks were Mazaki and the two stood behind him. Somehow he'd managed to deflect all the attacks.

Magnus drew all the blades back towards him having them hover around him now ready for what was the come.

Mizaki: Well well well... not the pathetic excuse for a fly that I expected. Though that wont help you... Zeke...

With that a man to the side of him made a few hand seals. All around Azriel a mass of undead rose from the ground walking towards him wrapped in bandages. If it hadn't been for his Byakugan he might off fallen for his foes trick. But with his Byakugan he could see through the illusion seeing his own chakra flow altered. If they wanted play that game, he would show them what a true undead looked liked. He released a surge of chakra through his body turning it to steel as bandages of steel formed over his entire body giving the impression of a true mummy breaking him from the illusion as all images of undead disappeared.

With that he trust both his hands forwards as steel bandages shot out wrapping around his remaining three foes, binding their arms to their sides, lifting from the ground.

Azriel: Now, you were saying... I guess I'll cover my back by eliminating you all...

As he said this he caused the bandages to tighten rapidly, the steel constricting his foes crushing their chest, killing them. All but one. As he aimed to crush them, Mizaki's body turned into a sandstorm as he broke free of the bindings. He shot towards Azriel. That was fine, he was ready for him either way. Steel formed within the sandstorm, making cubes sealing the sand in each cube pulling it all apart. It was only a matter of time now, Mizaki's chakra would run out and his body would return to normal, torn apart or crushed within a cube of steel. Azriel made forced the cubes into the depths of the sands as he used the bandages to gather the bodies and force them into the depths.

With that he released his steel mode dropping back to the ground. He needed to be more careful on all fronts. He'd tried spying on them and they knew he was there, found him and could of easily killed him in his sleep. He would of been a goner if they didn't stop to question him. At least it was done with now.

Jutsu used:
(Dōjutsu: Byakugan) Eye Technique: The All Seeing White Eye
Type:
Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 (+5 per turn to keep active)
Damage: N/A
Description: The kekkei genkai intrinsic to both the Hyūga and Ōtsutsuki clans—descendants of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Those who possess this dōjutsu have it manifested as eyes with featureless white irides and no visible pupils. And when activated, the pupils become more distinct and the veins near their temples bulge. To activate the dōjutsu, Hyuga but not Ōtsutsuki clan members are initially obliged to use a rather long and specific sequence of handseals: Horse → Tiger → Boar → Hare → Rat → Dog → Horse → Dog → Hare → Rat → Boar → Snake. But once activated, the dōjutsu user is endowed with a range of skills.

To start, an activated Byakugan gives the user a near 360º diameter field of vision bar one blind spot at the back of the neck, above the first thoracic vertebra. Its vision can penetrate through any solid objects or obstructions, and likewise remains unaffected by blinding interferences. But that being said, certain barriers and the like may distort its perception. In addition, it is able to follow high-speed movements, which enables those with this dōjutsu to analyze their foes' actions and better react to them. The Byakugan is also able to see chakra to a higher degree than the Sharingan and ergo, identify where a person's chakra signature originates from. Beyond that, it can discern certain types of clones from the real person. And its ability to see chakra is in fact so acute that those who possess this dōjutsu are even able to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that comprise it. The Hyūga clan has gone so far as to develop their unique Gentle Fist style in order to capitalize on this particular ability.

Note: Hyuga clan bios of at least Jonin rank become able to passively activate their dōjutsu upon one month having passed since Gentle Fist training concluded. Ōtsutsuki bios never need to expend a move in order to activate it.
Note: While traversing the NW, bios with activated Byakugan are able to see up to two 2 adjacent landmarks away while those of sage rank can see as far as three away, but this doesn't extend beyond an ocean landmark.

(Jūken: Hakkeshou Kaiten) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Palm Revolving Heaven
Type:
Defensive/Offensive
Rank: D-S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 10-40
Damage: 20-80
Description: A maneuver that obliges advanced chakra control—achieved via training in the Gentle Fist style—to release varied amounts of chakra from all of the user's 361 tenketsu, simultaneously. And in the midst of doing so, the user proceeds to rapidly spin and thereby, form a rotating shield of chakra with their own person at the epicenter. This functions as a defense to compensate for the Byakugan's blind spot as the released chakra blocks everything in a true 360° range and is able to send those struck by it careening back.

Note: D to C-rank is short-range while each rank thereafter will increase the diameter by 5 meters.

Rank: A
Type: Attack/defense/sup
Range: Short (bandages can reach mid)
Chakra cost: 30
Damage: 60 (+1 rank to tai jutsu, or 60 if used to strike/bind)
Description: The user will release their chakra throughout their body In surge using their steel release to create steel bandages that cover their entire body to look like a metal mummy. These will move with the users body so as to not restrict their movements due to their chakra control over the steel. A unique properties of these bandages made of steel is they all link up like a coil of wire that winds around the user and the two ends come out on the bottom of their feet. Due to this when the user is hit with unfocused lightning A rank and below the lightning will be a carried as a current down through the bandages and be discharged into the ground. Anything focussed like chidori spear will cut through the user with it's normal strengths/weaknesses to steel. The user at the cost of a move can also release more bandages from their Body to strike and bind targets which will flow fluidly due to precise chakra control, being able to reach up to mid range from the user. While using this ability though the user can only use steel release and elements that make up steel. The final property of these bandages is one that greatly aids steel users. If the user were you be cut or lose a limb while their body is turned to steel (for example with the impervious armor) they can use the bandages to grow and wrap around that location and form a new limb, so when they turn back to normal they wont have lost that arm. This is not a healing ability, it acts in a similar way to the hozuki clans ability where water would replace the injury they take in their water form.

Note: Useable 3 times, lasts 4 turns per use, and two turns between uses. While making use of the bandages, the use can only use steel release jutsu and jutsu that make up steel (fire & earth)
Note: reforming a limb and attacking with the bandages costs a move and counts as A rank and can each be used once per turn. Each will cost the user an addition 10 chakra. Aside from this the bandages are just a unique form of armor for a steel user making them look like a steel mummy.
Note: Due to the extra hard layer of steel over their body, the user would gain +1 rank to their taijutsu strikes up to A rank, S ranks and above gain +10 damage

Rank: A
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: This is one of the more tricky jutsu created by Gajeel, inspired by the ninji Gildarts. The user will make a handseal, as they release their steel chakra into a solid or liquid. This can be a regular structure like a tree or the ground, or an incoming jutsu (A rank and below, following strengths and weaknesses). As they do this they will create a thin layer or steel in the shape of hollow cubes throughout the entire solid. To make it around a liquid, steel will shoot out of the ground below it and encase it as a whole. From here the steel will section off the water into cubes to break down. The binding of the water is rather fast, almost forming a square water tank that then sections off the water into cubes forming a rubix cube like structure. The steel will form inside the chosen solid target (earth/steel jutsu) slicing through it to make the cubes. For this reason it can't be used on elements that steel is weak to and due to the complexity of it, making it A rank. The user will grow all these cubes at the same time at the same speed as normal steel release jutsu and from there be able to control them. While the cubes form the target will remain where it is if stationary or continue on it's current trajectory. Once the cubes have formed the user will use their chakra control and can then break apart the construct of steel like lego blocks. All these cubes are 30cm in diameter. While controlling these cubes the user can't use any other jutsu but can then control them for up to three turns. The combined strength of all the cubes are A rank so each indevidual cube is E rank at best, depending on the size of course. Due to steel being strong to earth and water this will work on A ranks and below
Note: Useable 4 times
Note: No other jutsu while this is being used
Note: the cubes can be controlled for up to 3 turns.
Note: The direction and control of them is controlled with hand gestures.
Note: When the user stops controlling the cubes they will just fall to the floor.

Mission: Trail an individual without being detected
________________________________________

A few days had past since Grey attended the ritual at Dragon's Rest, walking ever so North, Grey have had it with all the heat and Sand. Being from the Yuki clan, high temperatures were not his thing. He would occasionally make it snow. Snow brought him comfort, it felt like home. Plus it made the trek through the desert actually enjoyable. He had heard a rumor about a village nearby - Naschez. Seemed like as good as place as any to lay down and rest. That's where he was heading.

As he approached the village, the landscape began to shift, revealing the steep, towering walls of the canyon. His eyes caught sight of a man lingering outside the village, his behaviour immediately raising Grey’s suspicion. The man appeared nervous, glancing over his shoulder, shifting his weight from side to side. It appeared he didn't want to be seen as he put on a dark hood and attempted to disappear into the shadows.

"The bed was so close" Grey thought, but that red light in his brain was flickering... the one that tells him that something is not right. Deciding to follow him, Grey moved quietly, adopting a low stance that kept him concealed behind the adobe structures. He positioned himself so that he could blend into the immediate shadows cast by the towering canyon walls as the sun was making its descent into night. Grey remembering he is a ninja whispers: "Bikoku Ninjutsu"

(Bikoku Ninjutsu) - Shadow Stealth Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: E
Range: Short
Chakra: 5
Damage: N/A
Description: This jutsu lets the user follow the target covert by concealing the user's presence.

With his newly concealed presence, Grey felt cocky and almost stepped on a twig. Deciding not to rely on ninjutsu alone, he kept a steady pace behind the man and focused on controlling his breathing, making sure to remain silent and unobtrusive. The man slipped into the open desert and Grey quickened his pace, using the terrain to his advantage. He chose to move from one rocky outcrop to another, aware of the shifting sands that could easily betray his footsteps. Keeping an eye on his target, he ducked low against the rugged terrain whenever the man paused. The occasional gust of wind helped to disguise any sounds he made, and he made sure to time his movements with the shifts in the wind. Staying alert, Grey noticed how the man occasionally glanced around, and he was careful to avoid direct lines of sight.

As the man approached a secluded cave within the canyon walls, Grey slowed, backing into the shadows cast by the rocky formations. He peered around the corner and saw the man joining a group of rowdy figures gathered around a small campfire. Their loud laughter and the smell of alcohol thickened the air, contrasting sharply with the quiet desert surroundings. Grey observed them for awhile. They didn't seem like the friendliest bunch. They were loud and obnoxious, but they were having fun, drinking and dancing. Nothing stood out apart from the fact they all had a Star tattoo on their cheeks.

"What a waste of my time" Grey thought as he headed back for the village. But why did the red light in his brain turned on when he saw the man? He was too tired to figure it out now.

Mission (B): Defend your employer from bandits
_______________________________________________________

Grey wanted nothing more than a bed. He had spent an entire night, of what could have been a perfectly good sleep, chasing enemies that weren't even enemies. Just drunkards having fun in a cave. He returned to the village he originally meant to go and as he entered the sun was already showing. The village was waking up, as people were going on already about their daily tasks. Yet the atmosphere was grimmer than most villages he had visited. The people's faces bore a veil of fatigue and sorrow, their eyes distant. . It was as if they were trapped in a routine they had no choice but to follow.

Grey sighed, scanning the faces for any sign of hospitality. He found none, as everyone seemed to ignore him. “I guess this one will have to do,” he thought as he approached a young man sitting on the ground, meticulously sharpening a sword.

What do you want? the young man asked, as he look up. His expression was serious, but there was some curiosity in his eyes, despite the angry tone.

“I’m in need of a bed for a few days,” Grey replied, trying to keep his request casual despite the fact he was actually desperate for one. “Is there an inn I can crash at?”

The young man frowned slightly. He set aside the sword as he crossed his arms. “Not much visitors around here these days. We've been attacked quite a lot recently. Sieges are never good for business. These bandits have been terrorizing us, making it hard for locals to feel safe, let alone outsiders.

Grey was intrigued. “Bandits, huh? I might actually be of help you know, provided I'm given a bed, food and beer after.”

“But of course,”
the young man nodded. "Help us with that, and you shall have the full hospitality of our town. We are even prepared to pay. It won't be much, but you won't leave here empty handed, that's for sure."

“I'm in,”
Grey said with a determined grin. “Just don't forget the beer!.”

The young man laughed. Hope could be seen in his eyes. “You shall have all the beer you want my friend! I’m Jiro by the way. Let’s find other young men willing to fight.”

"I have a better idea,"
Grey declared, as he waved a few hand seals for one of his own original techniques. Suddenly orbs filled with lightning began appearing high in the air, encircling the village completely. “The village is officially in lockdown. No one leaves or enters. These orbs will electrocute anyone who dares to cross their path or tamper with them. Those who can't fight go about your business, the rest of you hide and stand watch. Some will fall in the trap - I leave those to you, I will take the rest.."

(Fuinjutsu: Kaminari Den) = Sealing Techniques: Thunder Palace
Rank: A
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Range: All
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user summons multiple orbs with a special tag on them, filled with enormous amounts of Lightning chakra and suspends them high up in the air in a circular formation around the target. If anyone decides to pass by the orbs, the seal will activate and the one who passed will be immediately zapped by lightning and will be unable to move for 1 turn (pretty much like zapped with chidori nagashi) If the orbs are destroyed by an outside force, lightning bolts will be shot from the orbs and will zap him extremely fast (in a matter of second or so) and he/she will have trouble moving for 1 turn while being disoriented and dizzy.
Note: The orbs can not be placed in short range radius from the opponent (meaning the user can't summone them next to the opponent, hence electrocuting him on the spot)
Note: Can only be used once per battle.
Note: The orbs last for 4 turns.
Note: The orbs can be placed around a whole village.

As night fell, the atmosphere grew tense. There was a mix of anticipation and fear hanging in the air. Hours passed until footsteps and evil laughter could be heard from the outskirts, signaling the approach of the bandits. They were getting cocky, not even trying to conceal their presence, probably thinking no one could stop them.

Grey waited. As they approached they began to scream and run like mad men towards the village. They were however, fully oblivious to the traps above. About half of the group managed to get themselves electrocuted, before the other half realized a trap had been set. As the bright flas illuminated the sky, Grey leapt from his hiding spot, his katana reflecting the light from lightning. He landed among the remaining bandits, his presence felt like the calm before the storm. With a fierce battle cry, he swung Hyourinmaru, cutting one of the attackers through the torso in half.

The second bandit met his blade, but Grey was faster. With a calculated strike, he pushed back the attacker, creating some distance before raising his sword high above his head. With a decisive blow, Grey slammed Hyourinmaru in the attacker's skull, as blood spattered all around.

With the first two foes gruesomely killed, the rest didn't laugh no more. Fear could be seen in their eyes. But obviously not enough to run. Another bandit charged with his sword high, attempting to stuck it in Grey's skull, like he did to his comrade. Grey dodged to the side, letting the attacker's sword swing down harmlessly, The ice monster took a quick step forward, his body now next to the attackers. As he took the step, his right hand, being almost an extenstion of his sword, swing diagonaly from right to left, slashing the brute's back and glute. Grey followed with a pivot of his body and a thrusting motion with his sword, aimed directly at the heart of his opponent.

Chaos erupted among the ranks of the bandits. Hesitation weather to advance or scatter. Grey wouldn't let them leave though. He danced among the remaining opponents as their numbers dwindled under his relentless strikes. He usually moves graciously when sword fighting, almost as if he water danced. This time though, bloodlust had overtook him. For a moment there, he was no different than the brutes he was fighting. He was however, overwhelmingly stronger.

As the last bandit standing raised a dagger in desperation, Grey’s icy-blue blade was ready. A spear of ice protruded from the tip of the blade, striking the foe in a blue flash of ice and cold. Grey was victorious!

He turned around, determined to also dispatch of the paralized enemies who were still breathing. Much to his surprise, the anger and blooudlust of the villagers had taken over. They were piling above the numbed bandits, hitting them with whatever they could find. The sound of crushing skulls echoed in the night, as Grey began walking towards the so longed mattress.

"I'm going to bed now" whispered Grey as Jiro nodded, his face covered in blood from bludgeoning one of the attackers. He placed his hand on Grey's shoulder. "Thank you my friend, really!" a tone of sincere appriciation in his voice, knowing they would sleep safe tonight.

The office air was thick with the copper tang of blood. The lifeless body of the sub-division leader lay sprawled across the floor, faint wisps of purple energy leaching from his body. His ritual dagger lay in front of him, the blood on the blade slowly being eaten away by the same purple energy.

Oberon stood over the corpse, but his gaze wasn't on the man. It was on the scrolls spread across the desk in the corner. His Shinkaigan pulsed with a low, rhythmic violet light. To the normal eye, the ink on the page was just mundane reportage. To Oberon however, his left eye revealed more. He saw the life of the ink and of the scroll, he saw the text being written, including the hidden research written beneath the layers.

“The cultists have teamed up with the Arali?” Oberon smiled wryly “Well, what an interesting development…”

As he was glancing over several scrolls, mainly detailing potential locations for ritual sites and lists of potential recurits and or sacrifices. He saw a diagram of a multi-armed creature, apparently made from stone. The Araag? Was that one of the Arali variants? Was it really made from stone or was that just a naturally evolved hardened like skin. He shall pose these questions to his contact later.

Amongst some of the apparent lesser important notes, lay a piece of paper with a crudely drawn bird, singular and flying. His fingers crept out unconsciously to trace the image. As he touched the ink, a sharp, white-hot flash struck the back of his mind.

A hammer hitting an anvil. A warm laugh. The smell of desert heat.

Oberon winced, his hand shot to his head as his other hand gripped the desk for support, splintering the wood with sheer force. A jagged smile crept across his face as the feeling faded, leaving behind a cold, hollow uncertainty. These memories, these….’glitches’ did not align with his truth. He was a creature tied to the void, any memories of a previous life should have returned to it, like everything else in existence.

He tucked the more vital scrolls into his cloak. “Beneath the Thousand Needles…” he muttered “The hell does that m…”

CRACK!

The heavy doors to the office were blown off their hinges.
"Intruder! Protect the leade…”

6 robed cultists flooded into the room, weapons drawn and at the ready. They stopped short when they saw their leader’s body, then looking up at the figure in the corner. Oberon stood tall, his cloak swaying in the draft, his violet eye burning through the shadows of the office, calculating, cold, and hungry.

“The void sees your end,” Oberon says, the candles in the room sparking to life with a deep violet like energy, casting a haunting light. “And it finds you…insignificant.”

Oberon would remain still as one cultist, desperate, lunged with a blade empowered by Wind Release. Oberon didn't parry. He stepped forward and raised his left hand, his left eye glowing as a deep violet purple energy engulfed the blade, returning it to ash. The cultist was shocked, even as his now empty hand was gripped by Oberon, twisted and he was thrown over the shoulder, slamming into the ground. Oberon would throw a single kunai straight into the mans neck as he continued forward casually.

The other five cultists scrambled back out of the room, their formations breaking. Oberon continued forward, stepping out into the main corridor of the base. The remaining 5 slammed their palms onto the floor. Massive slabs of stone erupted from the ground, racing toward Oberon to encase him in a crushing tomb.

Oberon continued his stride, arms outstretched as the tiles around him gathered "Oh what teamwork! Absolutely gorgeous!" his left eye flashed and the tiles crumbled within the same violet energy as before. "CAN YOU HEAR THEM! The whispers? I can see it in your eyes!"

He watched as a faint purple tint appeared within the eyes of the cultists, some covering their ears while others wore faces of utter confusion. Oberon's grin grew wider as the whispers in his ear, filled his mind with grandiose ideas. "Oh thats good, but can we do that? We need more friends firsts right?"

As if on cue, more cultists started appearing, some trying to help their now screaming comrades and others preparing to strike.

Oberon dropped his center of gravity, his knees bent in a deep, immovable stance. With a slow, rhythmic inhale, Oberon reached across his body. He brought his right hand over his left, cupping them together near his right hip as if cradling a fragile glass sphere.

"Beat like crazy!," he whispered to his own racing heart.

As he drew his hands further back, his elbows tucked tight against his ribs. His knuckles whitened. There was no flash of light, but his muscles vibrated with the sheer effort of the visualization. He pulled his shoulder blades together, tension coiling in his chest like a tightened spring. Every muscle in his core locked. The world seemed to go silent, focused entirely on the small, empty space between his calloused hands.

Then, with a sudden, guttural shout that tore from his lungs, Oberon exploded forward.

He didn't just move; he launched his entire weight through his heels. His hands thrust outward in a violent blur, the heels of his palms snapping together as his arms locked straight. His fingers flared wide, trembling with the force of the follow-through. The air in front of his right eye rippled as violent, violet energy burst forward, appearing as he sent an energy dragon from his hands.

The dragon tore through corridor, smashing into the walls, and into the cultists. The haywire energy ripping and tearing at their flesh, burning them into cinders and returning them to the void. The carnage was great and Oberon elegnatly struck a pose "Thanks for coming ya'll! You were a captive audience!"

With a flamboyant bow and a dramatic flourish of his cape, Oberon casually continued his way through the carnage, lightly stepping, even dancing over the bodies as they slowly crumbled in violent energy.

Oberon casually strolled out of the crumbling base, manic screams echoing behind him. He would be casually whistling as he summoned a swarm of bees, handing off the intel he had gathered.

“Take this to the girl, or at least to her right hand man. Also get them to look into whatever the Thousand Needles are. Thank you my lovelies”

He blows them a kiss as they buzz off into the night sky. Oberon remains still for a moment, before addressing the figure slowly entering the outside encampment.

“Sweetie, you are not exactly light on your fee…”

Oberon barely managed to shift his head to dodge, the large fist almost decapitating him with a single large swing. He didn't even have time to figure out what attacked him, because the position he had dodged into was also in line with another large fist, driving itself into his stomach and lifting him off his feet.

Saliva burst from his mouth as the wind was forcefully ejected from his lungs, and his body sent bouncing and crashing into some crates, some meters behind him.

Oberon struggled to catch his breath, his vision blurred by tears. In his recollection, he had never been struck so hard….or at all. He shoved the wooden debris off him and glared at his attacker. He was a large creature, at least 7…no 8 feet tall, with two sets of arms and skin that looked like stone. An Arali. An Araag to be specific.

“You…killed….minions. You die.”

The arali leapt forward, his speed seemingly unhindered by his size. Oberon barely managed to roll out of the way, waving his hand upwards, jumping further backwards, to make the earth around the demon rise up into spikes to impale it.

At least that was the intent, however as the spikes made contact, they crumbled into dust, unable to even penetrate the skin of the araag. Oberon clicked his teeth in frustration as the demon laughed a deep guttural laugh, before disappearing and reappearing behind Oberon. Two large fists coming down onto Oberon and forcefully using his body to create a small crater.

Oberon, having just been able to spin and raise his hands in defense, cried out due to the pain in his arms. While not broken, he assumed one of them was surely partially fractured. In a moment of unbridled frustration, his eye glowed violet and a mid-sized dragon formed, clamping the arali in its jaws as it flew up and then crashed into the ground 10 meters away.

While it thrashed around, Oberon would begin hearing the indiscernible whispers again. This time it was almost like a name was being called but he couldn't tell what it was.

“How do you like my dragon, you demon piece of shit! I will tear you a-fucking-sunder and return you to the void!”

Oberon let out a cocky laugh as he watched the dragon thrash about on his foe. His laughter, however, died moments after as he barely avoided something thrown at him. Clipping his shoulder and sending him off to the side, was the head of his dragon, its purple miasmic energy slowly dissipating back to the void.

Oberon turned to watch the dust settle, eyeing the araag with shock. Not a single scratch, what the hell was this arali made of? Steel?

The arali took a step forward.

“Get away…”

Another step

“Dont come any closer…”

A third step.

“I told you….to get away from me!” Oberon cried out as the arali burst forward with great speed. Colliding with outstretched hands, aiming to grapple Oberon.

In a flash, and burst of energy, Oberon sprouted insectile wings, a ring of yellow and black appearing around his eyes. He met the arali head on, grabbing the outstretched arms with his own. The strength he gained from sage mode was barely enough to contest the grapple attempt. However the araag had 2 more arms then Oberon. And they both attempted to strike at his body, with great speed, Oberon fluttered his wings and lifted his legs to counter the other fists, vibrations rocking through his body as he did.

Using this, he raised his leg to kick his foe in the chin, letting go and flipping backwards, his wings flapping with great speed, an unsettling buzz echoing through the night.

“Did you really think I would panic, just from a few punches?” He laughed a manic laugh “Please, sweetie, im the Faerie King!”

Oberon would gather sage chakra and fire globules of honey towards the arali’s feet, who in turn maneuvered deftly out of their trajectory, picking up random bits of debris and throwing them at Oberon.

Oberon would unleash another dragon from his eye, this one seemingly more empowered than before, in conjunction, he would fly with great speed in circles around the arali, firing off more globs of honey to attempt to restrain him.

Oberon would also unleash other elemental attacks, a fireball here, a lighting strike, water bullets and wind blades. Anything and everything he could think of in a wild onslaught of sage enhanced elemental jutsu.

Fluttering down to the ground, panting as his mode faded, he wiped his brow of the sweat and grinned.

Too soon

The dust exploded as a form rocketed out of the cloud, fists a blur as the arali assaulted Oberon with its three remaining fists. Oberon desperately tried to defend with earth style hardening, to little avail, the onslaught was too much for the armor, and each time he used it, it seemingly crumbled quicker than the previous one.

Strike after strike, the damage accumulated within Oberon, his blood painting the ground around him as the arali pummeled him in what seemed to be a berserk rage. The last strike sent Oberon flying into the encampment wall, his body beaten and bruised.

The indiscernible whispers suddenly become more clearer….

"LEON!” a young man's voice crying out to his older brother. But who was Leon? Why did this feel different from the normal whisper in his head, almost like a memory…

Oberon would be transfixed on this voice, its familiarity. Its warmth. As he fought to remain conscious, he could hear a ringing. Like metal striking metal. A hammer on an anvil. His thoughts swayed to one of the pages he had sent away, something about a hammer. A forge and the Thousand Needles.

Oberon would close his eyes as the arali approached. He didn't know if he was to die or to be captured. But either way he wouldn't go somberly.

“Capture me or send me back to the void, wherever I end up. I'll claw my way back and destroy your kind! Mark my words sweetie.”

Oberon grinned and stared as the Arali prepared its finishing vlow.

Akira arrive having followed the trail of chakra to it's origin only to find a battle of wills unfolding before him. Human vs Demon. Who would survive this? Looking at the two, it would seem as though the human had indeed put up quite the fight, though their body couldn't match up to their drive to fight. A shame really. It almost seemed as though they accepted their fate. A tragic end to one with such potential.

The demon drew back his hand ready to end the one that stood before him. It's strike would of landed true had the spirits of hell claimed the demon first. The ghostly arms caught the beast mid strike before dragging it to the depths of the netherworld.

The field fell silent as Akira stepped forwards to be beside the one that was close to deaths door.

"I hope you don't mind, he was rather annoying to watch. I can bring him back if you wish though, maybe a little break?" Akira spoke with a hint of humor in his voice.

Oberon sat with a blank look on his face, turning his head back and forth from the unknown man and the spot the araag was dragged into. A moment of this awkward calm and Oberon burst into laughter. For this man, the opponent he struggled with, appeared to be as difficult to deal with as a mosquito. Blue chakra started to appear around him as he activated medical ninjutsu, regaining the strength to stand.

"Rest assured stranger, I am not one to be so vain toward a person who easily returns a tough opponent, at least for me, to the void. I thank thee for the timely rescue, mein name is Oberon. What may I call you and what brings you to these parts?"

Oberon would keep his eyes activated as he spoke to his rescuer, not out of any threat but to keep his connection to the void and the whisper he had heard before.

An interesting guy to be sure. Akira stood unmoving. His rinnegan eye locked on Oberon unmoving. He stood still for a moment as they laughed. Based on the nature of that chakra, it would seem they were trying to heal themselves. Their methods more on the primative side. Akira stepped forwards and placed his hand on the boys chest still not speaking. A burst of chakra flowed from his hand into the boy before he took a step back folding his arms.

"Oberon. A unique name you have there boy. I see you are seeking to make friends." It was more a question than a statement. He wasn't ready to answer anything just yet.

(Yoton: Taiyōnomegumi) - Yang Release: Touch of the Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 60 per use
Damage points: N/A
Description: Through the infusion of Yang natured chakra into others, users can heal others to their original best physical form. It can be used to regrow missing body parts, heal wounds, purge poisons, etc. The target needs to be alive and the bigger the injury, the longer it takes to heal. The limits of the heal, however, are almost none as it can heal 120 damage per turn and can even heal the chakra system or other injuries that are otherwise not possible to be healed. The technique requires time and physical contact and as such isn't very suited to use in a battle when compared to regular Iryo Ninjutsu.
Note: Yang Release Specialists and Yin-Yang users are able to use on themselves.

Oberon didnt flinch as the man touched his chest, a burst of chakra and suddenly he felt almost new again.

"Intetesting" Obderon would begin to ask a flurry of questions in regards to this ability, his curiosity flaring. "Is this a nrw form of advanced medical ninjutsu I am unaware about? How did you aquire this power, is it an inherent abikity of yours, or were you taught it by someone, if so are they seeking a student? Fascinating."

Oberon coughed and contained himself, a grin with an almost unhinged undertone across his face.

"I do apologise, see I have an affliction. A fantastical vice. The thirst for knowledge, specifically towards the great and ever present void, however other abilities do peak my interest from time to time."

His posture returned to a more relaxed vibe as he finished adddressing the man. "As for my name, I chose it myself, one such as I must stand out darling. As for the f-word..." he crossed his arms and gestured loosely "I wouldnt say im actively looking for them, I am however not opposed to alliances that can be mutually beneficial. Which may evolve later from that chrysalis into a beautitful butterfly of friendship, however trust takes time to emerge. Now my interest is piqued yet again, is there a bright allegience in my future?"

Akira decided this was a case of less is more. The less he spoke, the more this young one would reveal about themselves. It proved quite accurate as they constantly spoke away. A slight smirk crossed his face, though his foe would be none the wiser due to his mask. It would seem as of right now they were not aware of the power of yang release. Yet, here they stood, after being on the brink of death seeking knowledge. A curious figure indeed. To call someone they just met 'darling' was an interesting approach to say the least.

"I see." His words simple, the pause saying more afterwards. "What brings you to face such a... creature in lands such as these? I assume that wasn't one of your... how did you put it? 'Alliances that are mutually beneficial and chrysalis into a beautiful butterfly of friendship?" He words filled with a tone of a mix of doubt and almost laughter at the latter. He tried to remain composed.

Oberon let out a laugh as the man recited his own line. He was not unaware that the man had yet to answer any of his questions, he was burning with curiosity. Especially since this evidently powerful person seemed to be after friends. So he had a goal he wanted to achieve and is recruiting potential allies. That was the hypothesis Oberon had ended on. After all, silence is golden.

"Thankfully no, the piece of shit was no more then an enemy that showed me that I am on the right path. Albeit I need more strength it seems, so more knowledge I must consume. Tell me, do you know much about the Void?"

Oberon's Shinkaigan gleamed with burning curiosity. "If you can help me with my research, I'll be more then happy to form an alliance, or join your team or however you want to put it. What do you say...? "

The void? A curious sentiment. Akira had hear rumors about it, yet nothing led to anything concrete. He'd been more focused on his true goals. Maybe this one had a use after all. Could he be trusted though, that was the question. He seemed to like the sound of his own voice quite a bit. It was time to test that.

"Why would I need to ally with someone clearly weaker than me? If you wish to serve, I'll treat you just like any other tool.... I'll seek to improve you for my own personal goals. I'm not here seeking anything but the means to my end goal, no matter the cost. So the true question is, where does your heart align?"

For one with such power to save one much weaker then then leads Oberon to a few conclusions. 1. He saw potential 2. Hes just a really stand up guy 3. Pity. But Oberon would keep these thoughts to himself as the man asked his question.

Keeping his reply short and simple. No hesitation and complete resolution in his eyes.

"To seek knowledge and sow a little chaos along the way."

That was it. He doesnt care if he is used as a tool, or if he is molded with power. As long as he can continue his research and have fun along the way.
