This is a problem that was addressed by V a few pages back in this thread, so they are aware of it. Here is the quote for it along with a recommended roundabout fix that seemed to have mixed success:

If youโ€™re dealing with the notification glitch after the forums upgrade (a number shows up on the bell and then disappears), try this fix:
  1. Go to your Watched Threads.
  2. Unwatch all of them.
  3. Then Watch them again.
That should clear it up.

You know what could be fun. Finding all of our oldest most powerful jutsu from 2008-2009 and doing a battle royale. (For fun since all those Jutsu I am sure are banned.)

Same here but I am actually getting brand new alerts all the time because of the activity lol
So to clarify on where to find the Watched Threads list, you can find that at the top in the drop down button under "Forums." However, as I had mentioned before, this has had mixed results from what I've heard. So don't be surprised if it's still there afterward.

As an alternative to the above, a fix that worked for me was opening my notifications at the top right, and toward the bottom selecting "Show All..." Once in the new redirected screen, there will be a button on the right of this page that says "Mark as read." Once I selected this and verified, the flashing notification stopped. It is worth mentioning that I've technically done both options, so it is possible that doing both helped, I don't know for certain. I just know it stopped only after I did the "marked as read" option.

I was giving the opposite take lol. Mine is fine I'm just getting bombarded with alerts because people are constantly replying :sigar: :lok:

Just to clarify. I just did the option to [show all] and then [mark as read] which has fixed my issue.

It never bothered me but trying it proves that your solution works

Second option fixed it. Thank you.
