Hopefully that's a link to my Inventory, as proof I spent the money on Yang Release xD
Thank you for taking me on for this training @Slacker
It's alright, you get the general idea but i'll break it down in rp terms, breaking them down.I was rich in Kumi for less than a day xD
As for real world knowledge of Yin and Yang, other than it being used to represent balance/harmony or a duality of sorts. For example, in simplified Chinese "阴" represents Yin, which uses a radical that represents the Moon, Night, Month "月"; Yang, represented by the character "阳" which uses a radical that represents Day (Solar or simply day time) "日" This is a common thing in Chinese as it works in pairs; everything has an opposite, like day and night. The concept of Yin and Yang in this context is the balance represented by daytime always being accompanied/followed by night time.
Now that I got that probably unnecessary analysis out of the way xD In terms of our RP, and by your words I can reason Daoism, Yin and Yang represent the energies of a person being in balance. Yin representing one's spirit and Yang representing one's Physical body, combined as Yin-Yang in perfect balance with each other.
Our RP and the Naruto-verse (probably Daoism too) has us able to work on each aspect as a separate aspect, before learning how to balance them both with each other properly. Yin release learns more towards making one more aware of their spirit, granting them an additional awareness and prowess towards Genjutsu. Yang release learns more towards the physical body, lending boosts to the bodies condition and vitality; leaning it to pair well with Medjutsu, which is a focused branch of Yang.
Hmmm, I think that's all I can muster without re-reading the Yin-Yang threads.
There we go, that helps me focus on the aspects a lot better. It's alright, you get the general idea but i'll break it down in rp terms, breaking them down.
Yin - Tied to thought itself. Giving thought form. This is why it ties into genjutsu, you create something in someone's mind. With that you have the spiritual aspects, such as yin etc. It ties into ones spirit, and with that draining ones spirit. So you'll see abilities tied to chakra draining effects or effecting one's spirit itself. Yin is considered cold. The genjutsu side allows you to gain enhanced illusions which we will go into.
Yang - If yin is thought and creation, Yang is life itself. Yang is warm, you'll notice a theme in the names that follow this. Anyway yang being life embodies the physical aspect. So giving sentience, healing (We saw naruto save guy's life), physical enhancement but at the same time physical debilitation.
When you combine the ability to create and the power to give life, you have creation itself. It's why the final jutsu for yy allows you to create your own creation.
A thing to note is all Yin and yang jutsu have higher chakra costs due to their nature and with it have higher damage to match.
Any questions?
Just so you know, as you have a bijuu bio, chakra increases don't stack. So if the bijuu rules say "Bio gains +600 chakra" and you have yang spec that gives +1000 chakra. Only the highest would take effect. There we go, that helps me focus on the aspects a lot better.
Oh yes, I have noticed a higher chakra costs for some of the Yang techs I've had used against me. Fortunately, one of the Yang Mastery perks is a bonus 1000 Chakra.
No questions on these so far... but now I wanna get Yin release too, just to go more in depth into that field xD
D: not the worst piece of news, but would have liked the double chakra boost xDJust so you know, as you have a bijuu bio, chakra increases don't stack. So if the bijuu rules say "Bio gains +600 chakra" and you have yang spec that gives +1000 chakra. Only the highest would take effect.
Right now, what do you think sentience is?
I have Hagoromo... who gets +1750 chakra. I master yy which means spec wise i can have both yin and yang, which is +1000. Imagine if i had both O_< lmaoooD: not the worst piece of news, but would have liked the double chakra boost xD
Sentience; the ability to feel or experience the world around one self? Instead of acting on base instincts, something with sentience is able to make subjective decisions and actions based on the surrounding stimuli?
So in this instance, sentience is essentially granting life to a particular jutsu. So I could for instance create a stone golem and in exchange for it being half-sized, it'd be able to go off and live it's own life? xDI have Hagoromo... who gets +1750 chakra. I master yy which means spec wise i can have both yin and yang, which is +1000. Imagine if i had both O_< lmaooo
And lets look at it from the yang aspect:
(Yoton: Jigoku ni henkō) - Yang Release: Change into Hell
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A (+50, -10 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user is able to use his Yang nature to embue life into an elemental technique, creating a Yang/Element sentient entity that will stay on the field to aid him. The only limit is the size of the technique originally used as an elemental source as the resulting entity will always be half the size. This entity can be interacted with, can act on its own and is made of the element sourced, with all its properties intact. Its strength is based on the original elemental technique used as a source. This doesn't consume time since its actually a skill applied to a technique used at the same time.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and up to 6 times per event to create one entity with up to 300 chakra points that is able to use jutsu from the source it was created from.
Note: Yang Release masters can apply this technique to advanced fields and CE and advanced elements.
For as long as the being has chakra, yes it can go live a happy golem life T_TSo in this instance, sentience is essentially granting life to a particular jutsu. So I could for instance create a stone golem and in exchange for it being half-sized, it'd be able to go off and live it's own life? xD
So it gets 300 chakra, is that -10 per turn deducted from my chakra pool or does it come from the newly sentient beings chakra pool?
I'd also assume, if I use the Great Stone Golem (S-rank) as an example, that an A-rank lightning jutsu would be able to one-shot it as normal?
Sorry if you want more out of me, been a while since I've been the student @__@
Good, cause my essay skills may it be ready for a test xDFor as long as the being has chakra, yes it can go live a happy golem life T_T
-10 per turn comes from the 300 chakra pool. It uses that to sustain itself and act on it's own. Saves you controlling it.
Yeah, it would one shot it. SO when you make something, give it steroids to live a stonk happy life U_U
Nah this is good. I just have to make sure you understand the jutsu. Not here to test your essay skills.
Any other questions?
UP next:Good, cause my essay skills may it be ready for a test xD
As for questions, I'm all good now, you've answered the ones I had. Thanks!
So this is the jutsu Naruto used on Gai after he went 8th Gate?UP next:
(Yoton: Taiyōnomegumi) - Yang Release: Touch of the Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost:70 per use
Damage points: N/A
Description: Through the infusion of Yang natured chakra into others, users can heal others to their original best physical form. It can be used to regrow missing body parts, heal wounds, purge poisons, etc. The target needs to be alive and the bigger the injury, the longer it takes to heal. The limits of the heal, however, are almost none as it can heal 150 damage per turn and can even heal the chakra system or other injuries that are otherwise not possible to be healed. The technique requires time and physical contact and as such isn't very suited to use in a battle when compared to regular Iryo Ninjutsu.
Note: Yang Release masters are able to use on themselves.
Pretty much yeah. It's the ultimate healing jutsu. So this is the jutsu Naruto used on Gai after he went 8th Gate?
It mentions that it can heal 150 damage per turn. If I wanted to perform a healing over two turns (to heal say 160, full Jounin health), would that be activating this jutsu twice (spending 140 chakra) or will it just continue to work until the target, or myself, is fully healed?
Up next is like buff equivalent to the 6th gate:Ah yes, yes, yes. That makes sense.
Well, that was all I needed to clear up in regards to this jutsu.
That chakra cost #__#Up next is like buff equivalent to the 6th gate:
(Yoton: Ken'i) - Yang Release: Power of The Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 100 (50 per turn)
Damage points: N/A (+40 to Taijutsu)
Description: The user will reinforce his own body with Yang natured chakra, empowering his physical abilities to the outermost limits. This allows him to become physically very strong (beyond the normal levels of chakra enhanced strength), increases his resistance to physical damage (decreasing 60 damage from any physical contact), his speed (boosted to 3.5x his normal speed), and grants him a passive healing of all minor wounds at 30 damage per turn. However, by infusing himself with the Yang Nature, he becomes unable to use Yin Release techniques or Yin/Yang Release techniques; he cannot use Genjutsu or non elemental Ninjutsu of any kind (including special fields like Fuuinjutsu).
Note: Can only be used twice per battle and lasts 4 turns per use.
Now, just while you're on that chakra cost. This is a full body surge. That means, any illusion that holds a chakra value, less than that, you can break it by activating this jutsu. Doesn't seem so bad right? Seeing as, this will also work on Yin genjutsu where your bijuu powers would fail. That chakra cost #__#
But the buffs are definately worth it! So, this would still follow speed boost rules, but as far as I'm able, this is way faster than anything I can apply to myself xD
The tai buff and damage reduction is also amazing! Does the damage buff stack with the passive damage resistance gained from being a yang master, or is it a case of highest one applies?
So I wouldn't be able to use a rasengan, but I could use a fire-rasengan, yeah? Can I still use a Custom Element?
And that's all of my questions about this haha
With the added fact that it'll release me from yin release Genjutsu, the chakra cost now seems more than fine xD I like having extra tools to deal with Genjutsu. Now, just while you're on that chakra cost. Indeed, specialities as like your passive, then you can have one active speed boost, if you have multiple, highest takes effect.
No damage resistance stacks. Only the highest takes effect. But you're reducing 60 damage and then healing 30 in your next turn. That's like getting hit by an F rank and being fine. Wild right?
Remember, damage boosts are: Only the two highest take effect, be it passive or active. Unless you have something specific that lets you bypass this, such as sakura's rules.
You can use elemental jutsu of all kinds. You asked about c.e but it would have to be a c.e that's purely elemental, i know some incorportate fuuin into it, they would fail.
You can't make shadow clones... but you could make earth clones. As long as it's elemental you can do it.
Yeah, yin gen is next level though. It's on the same level as MS gen, and some treated like elemental gen. And with the yin spec, people can make it so one method of release doesn't work. It can be tricky dependent on the one using it. But with the yang spec you do indeed have a large chakra supply. Not that many fights last long enough for you to run out of chakra. With the added fact that it'll release me from yin release Genjutsu, the chakra cost now seems more than fine xD I like having extra tools to deal with Genjutsu.
Thanks for clearing up those questions for me, your answers are very informative and helpful!
