Well you're onto something the selfish Borat puts Himawari above himself. He did so and wanted to beat down Naruto because he let her down. That was the same arc Momo mentioned he'd lose everything. Borat refused to go on the tech mission until Mitsuki caressed him and reminded him of how it would benefit Himawari and Hinata. Borat changed his mind again and put his sister above himself. Now we have Borat's reaction with the vase. Everything is pointing to Himawari being Boruto's everything the only one he truly puts above himself.

I think Kawaki will also get attacked to the deformed one and somehow she's killed in the most brutal manner by ninja. Kawaki will want to bring an end to Ninja for taking her and Boruto will join him. They will split on how to bring an end to the ninja world which will lead to their battle after Kawaki kills the symbol of the ninja (the 7th).
