Just a bit of info for the thread.what every age the public believes itachi is after 12, assume he’s a year younger. Hiruzen changes his official age from 12 to 13 so he could make captain.

No he wasn't. Itachi was around the same age he was when he slaughtered the Uchiha when he beat Orochimaru.

He was around 13 when he slaughtered the Uchiha, guess what, he was EXACTLY the same age when he joined Akatsuki.

Why is this obvious? Because he is wearing the EXACT same ANBU outfit he wore when he slaughtered the Uchiha when during his inauguration into Akatsuki when Pein welcomes him, and Orochimaru immediately licks his lips with lust for Itachi when he sees him during said inauguration.

There is no way that you can expect us to believe Orochimaru waited 3/4 years to try and take Itachi when he looked so greedy when he saw him join Akatsuki.

Furthermore, to cement the fact the Itachi immediately went to the Akatsuki after slaughtering the clan, Tobi explained that their deal was that he would help Itachi slaughter the clan in exchange for Itachi joining Akatsuki, meaning, that Itachi had already agreed to join Akatsuki BEFORE slaughtering the clan.

Finally, I'm not sure whether it was Kisame or Sasori, but one of the Akatsuki members mentioned at the beginning of Shippuden that Orochimaru defected almost ten years ago, now remember Orochimaru defected because he tried and failed to take on Itachi. 10 years ago/almost ten years ago from that time Itachi was MOST certainly not 17 years old.

There's no such implication...orochimaru was overpowering the genjutsu's binding effects...if left solely up to the genjutsu, then Orochimaru would've broken free.

Fact is Itachi low diffed him with a mere 3 tamoe sharingan genjutsu and chopped off his hand, that could have easily been his head. He should thank the stars Itachi was feeling generous that day.

Itachi joined first because Itachi’s first partner was Orochimaru.

I know im late, but thats actually incorrect. "Sama" is more so used to call someone your superior. San (depending on the context) is usually used to be polite and respectful, or in other cases is used when unfamiliar with new people.. In japanese culture its impolite to meet someone for the first time and not be formal enough to use the phrase san.

So yeah, that was just Kisame being polite.

Umm...read the chapter, please. His surprise in being captured by a Sharingan's Genjutsu (non serious) speaks for the verdict, the panel has to say. Post-this occurence, an Sfx exist in next panels, declaring "trying to break" inferiority of his, to that of Itachi's. Here
