It's halfway through 2018 and people still don't know the difference between rikudou sage mode and rikudou senjutsu. Rikudou Senjutsu is juubi chakra. All nine bijuu chakras are absolutely required. Its distinct design is always consistent. Nine tomoe markings,gudodama,etc.

Rikudou Sage Mode however is simply that, bijuu sage mode enhanced by rikudou chakra. A form gifted from hagoromo.

This form basically allows naruto to become one with the bijuu. Mostly he only uses it with kurama.

Naruto has never used rikudou senjutsu since his last fight against sasuke. However Naruto has on multiple occasions used rikudou sage mode, infact his most recent use was against momoshiki.
