What an amazing chapter. I loved it. I find it intriguing that Luffy say's ace is dead, but not once has he said it's his brother. Is Oda saving that for some dramatic effect later down the line?
Well Luffy with a cursed blade, this should be interesting, certain it will end up with Zoro now, but will it be like when Zoro got his first cursed blade? I mean, he kept getting warned, so he just throws it up into the air and lets it drop with his arm out, calling the bluff on the blade. Hero.
I love the artwork for the chapter, and like people have said, that mad max vibe. Love that Zoro's reacting to eating poisoned animals is just "Oh, that's my my stomach hurts", no shits given there. And luffy, knowing that, still takes the meat off him and starts eating it haha. Captain and first mate bond.
Now, Hawkins arrives with his two minions. He must know he can't win. Maybe he just wants his two lackies to be taken out so he can proceed with his own intentions. He's a fortune teller after all, he must know the chances in this fight. Unless with the poison both luffy and zoro ate, that will be their downfall?
I'm disappointed that Drake was one to take out a village. I kinda liked that guy, unless he's only done it as a "prove your loyalty" kinda thing?
