Why is it that Hinata never learned Genjutsu?

We all know that Hinata has no problem training alone and training with others, but the question is why is it that Hinata never asked Kurenai to teach her genjutsu? Kurenai is one of the best genjutsu user if I am not mistaken.

Why is it that Hinata got no animal summon?

She’s lived up to her potential and I’d say that’s enough.

Heck, the databook even says that Hinata has fire and lightning style, but have we seen her use a single jutsu of either style? No! That right there is already a prime example of something she could learn and expand on! That is just one of many things.

Also, how the hell would it be unorthodox for her to get a summon? How is that any more unorthodox than Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Jiraiya, Minato, Tsunade, Orochimaru, Kakashi, Konohamaru, Hiruzen, Temari, Danzou, Kabuto, or any other shinobi on the freaking planet getting a summon? It's not like it's even hard! All you have to do is sign a freaking contract!

All in all, like I said, most people in this series never lived up to their full potential. Heck, Kishi didn't even allow K11 members to diverge from their weak little clan jutsus! Why couldn't Shikamaru have a nice wind style or something like that to go along with his shadows? Why couldn't Kiba have a nice fire style jutsu? Tenten's weapons scrolls involve sealing jutsu, so why couldn't Kishi let her expand on that and become this great seal master that could rival the Uzumaki clan?

Heck, even Naruto (the main character) was restricted! May I remind you of the first time we've ever seen Naruto use an elemental jutsu that was not connected to rasengan or a bijuu? Guess what?

It was a few chapters ago in freaking Boruto! Even then, it was just a simple earth style mud wall! Let that sink in!


It took over 15 years, both in real life time and in manga time, for Naruto to be allowed to use a freaking D-ranked mud wall!!


Face it:

Because Genjutsu was never her affinity and it would just be despicably redundant for her to be handed such an ass-pull. Kishimoto may have been terrible at handling characters' power growth, but he was never discriminative in his work. Hinata definitely didn't deserve more than Ino or Tented did. It's even impressive for her to have gotten this far, let alone surviving in the War arc the way she was so weak and scrawny for the enemy to squash, but then she had Naruto's big, protective hands shielding her from death. Had that not been the case, you wouldn't even be complaining, instead we would be singing more praise of Neji's prodigious talents and how he mastered all Hyuuga main branch techniques because given more time, he would have.

Your misconstruing the context I’m speaking with., Hinata achieved the expectation of ability/strength that she Was capable of as a Hyuga; mastering her clans jutsu(s) or gentel fist. I’m not implying that Hinata has learned everything that her abilities would allow her too, that’s your insinuation. What I’m saying that is Hinata got strong enough to be competent shinobi from a strong clan, of course there’s always room to learn a Jutsu or expands characters aresenal.

Relax., all I’m saying is that her gentel fist or Byakugan based abilities have gotten as strong as they can (mastery); which was her only focus.

The question is. how would a summon complement her abilities. Most characters you’ve mentioned don’t have summons for the hell of it but a few of them do at the same time, Gai’a turtle makes Zero sense to me for example and that would be unorthodox. But the summons that do make sense or is orthodox, do things that are cohesive to their summoner and I don’t see what kind or how would a animal summon would benefit Hinata without it being puzzling like Gai’s Turtle.

Hinata genjutsu skills is mediocre. Hinata took a million years to learn her clan jutsu let alone intellectual technique like Genjutsu.

The Hyuuga clan's specialty is Taijutsu. It wouldn't make any sense for them to train in genjutsu when they should be honing their KG. Animal summons are relatively rare in the series, it would be weird if everyone had them. The hyuuga are just too good at what they do best, there is no point in branching out.
