Looks like any other lighting based jutsu. Dont see how its any different from a chidori, lighting blade etc.

because the db literally states he has it, never said anything about mitsuki hence therefore its boruto justsu, mitsuki just a mary stu so its not a a surprise that he has it also, No biggie though js boruto should of used it before mitsuki.

So we keep getting purple lightning mentioned but has there been a clarification on it that I missed? Why is it purple? Is it stronger than blue lightning? Are there other colors like white lightning or yellow lightning? Does it take more chakra to create compared to other ration?

I'm positive there's no logic behind. It was just a way to bring back the chidori because it's one of the most badass abilities
