The artists and writer of Boruto need to go.

When you can find better artists on deviant art and better writers on fanfiction.net EASILY, it's time for a change. I understand he was Kishi's assistant and all, but if he cares about his IP at all, he needs to make a drastic change.

People draw differently when they aren't under pressure, i believe.

But yeah...ikemoto ain't all that impressive, kishimoto left when he was at his prime!

Art is definitely shit but it has improved a bit. The slow paced writing, lack or development and monthly releases are the major problems with the manga as of now.

Better than awful, is still bad. The kids, even Konohamaru, look like they have babyheads. I've heard of babyfaced before, but this is ridiculous. Then there the moral issue we don't like talking about anymore...

We don't talk about the art style or moral issue, cause it's basically out of our power...

What can we do?

Milking out the franchise with no clear direction for where to take it. It's been 2 years since Boruto started, and next to nothing has been accomplished.

I noticed that.

I feel a weekly release would be wiser, as far as marketing/ratings.

The franchise does still feel "new"...like the characters haven't gotten too far with anything.

I imagine they don't do weekly because Ikemoto has to make up things as he goes along.

Instead of how early Naruto was. With Kishimoto and his editor who came up with things to add. Things like the Chunin Exams and the invasion of Konoha were the early editor's idea. Kishi wanted to do more Land of Waves type missions; to help introduce different types of ninjas.

Well, I figure Boruto will be the end of this series in general. I only watch the anime and even that is sporadic.

EXACTLY! Two years is honestly quite a long time. Didn't take part 1 that long to get good that's for sure. There are some interesting, but far too vague and not fleshed out concepts like about ninja becoming obsolete in an age of peace and growing tech, and an ominous Otsutsuki invasion, but they haven't done too much with it, because they just don't have the talent to pull it off. Question is, does Kishi care enough to do something about it? Seems like the answer is no.

Naw, man. Kishi doesn't care.

Naruto = Dragon Ball

Naruto Shipuuden = Dragon Ball Z

Boruto = Dragon Ball GT (the series that had nothing to do with original author or manga and was made by the fans/studio)

Give it a few years. When Boruto becomes stale, we'll see a Naruto Super (like Dragon Ball Super) come in and make things like they were before the next generation experiment.

Gotta admit, yeah. With the loli pedo drawings of Sarada and the girls, the weak writing, retcons, filler mods, and copy paste gen, it just kills everything. Naruto should've ended after the Boruto movies

Yeah, I'm not a fan personally. I just put anytime spent towards other series that are more interesting.

He had so many good ideas. Like a good Tsunade vs Pein battle would have been great.

Never let a n-gga rush you.

I’ve been enjoying this series. My only complaint is the frequency of chapter releases. But it’s not a big deal just more time to think up crazy theories. They should make me a writer. I’m bringing back Neji. Talking about Hashirama’s death. Orochimaru’s parents. What happened to the Senju clan, shikkotsu woods, Sasuke’s dad, Sakura’s clan, six paths, sharingan lore, Shin, Rin, Ashura vs Indra, Hyuga, shinju, rinnegan and then some. But I rather Kishi wrote it, he’s brilliant.

My main issue right now is the horrid pacing of the story. The art is slowly improving and I'm starting to get used to it... but. As many others have said before me; it's been two friggin years and we've hardly gotten anywhere! I don't remember Naruto part 1 taking this long to get decent action, development, and overall story progression. The wave arc, the FIRST arc to happen gave us character development. Kakashi showed his skill, Sasuke reawakened (at the time of our knowledge awakened) his sharingan, we saw Naruto's kyubbi rage mode, Sasuke almost died, main villains for the arc died... That's a lot to happen and I believe that all went down within the first 6 months of the manga. I could be wrong since it was forever ago.

I mean, a whole year (maybe even a little over that) was spent on the Boruto movie.. and now we're going to be rehashing AGAIN parts of the movie in the dang anime (chunin exams). That's great and all that they want to flesh that out more.. but how many times are we going to rehash what's already happened in the movie? Why not just skip over that part, have it start were the manga actually started (with the bandits).. and then have another, but different chunin exam later on (after the Ao arc or even later) that doesn't get interrupted?

We haven't seen anything of the Jougan, his seal, or Kawaki. Yet these are all things that exist currently and have something to do with the main plot. The Jougan and seal HAVE to make an appearance for the story to really progress either during or right after the Ao arc.. because then that might set him up to go travel and train with Sasuke. Kawaki needs to be shown soon as well, because he is set up to be in this part of Boruto. The dialogue in that time skip portion and also one of the covers foreshadows him being involved with the story earlier than the time skip.

We have seen nothing on Toneri aside from the weird dream episodes ago in the anime. Yet he was the one talking about the Jougan etc. It'd be cool if he had a larger role since they went out of their way to keep him semi relevant.

We still know nothing else about the 3rd male Otsutsuki member. There's been no other mention of him. It'd be nice if we saw Sasuke mention finding evidence of another one in his travels.

Hima and other characters that should be relevant have had 0 development as well.

^^^^ These are just things I can think of plot wise that haven't been really looked into in the past 2 years. It's not like they don't have anything to work with... so it's baffling how we are just starting to get some main plot action in the manga whereas in Naruto they would be in the chunin exams or the retrieval arc.. with plot already set up, established, moving forward.. characters developing, deaths and danger well introduced etc. So far this is not ok as a continuation of Naruto. It has potential to be fantastic, but it's falling short to the point of failure IMO.

Boruto is just bad. There nothing good about it. Bad pacing, recycled plots, mixing filler with canon and the possibility of Naruto or Sasuke dying this is why you don't milk a series
