You concluded the little bit part differently . The little bit is just that one panel boruto mentions the arc not the arc itself so it’s all canon and legit
Probably because of the comments I'm reading here.

But still... I don't see how Boruto simply remembering the Field Trip suddenly makes it canon.

Could you explain the premise behind that notion?

No they know what it means but they want to explain it differently through lying so that they could convince us it’s filler! These bastards!

Like i said before there is absolutely no reason for boruto to mention the trip . That’s the only explanation .it has one reason and that’s proving the arc aa canon and as something that happened in Boruto’s life legitemtly

So because Toriyama only supervises Dragon Ball Super, its events are non-canon?
toriyama only gives the basic outline of the DBS story to the anime team, Then toyotaro fills in the blanks himself, So the same applies here. Most of the idea/Arcs are cannon with the anime team adding their own spin to it which toriyama didn't do himself and they're obvious fillers in the anime such as Trunks&Goten tagging along with monaka. which the manga doesn't bother with.

Basically toyotaro follows kishi's plot but toyotaro himself creates the details within said plot, just as they did here, the Idea/Plot is cannon but the details within the plot are not. As for Super Anime vs Manga, i'd pick the manga as it's overall superior in story telling/Details and has far far better power scaling.

The same can be said for Kodachi. The arc's canon.

Alright then, I won't challenge that idea. Since I can't come up with any reasons as to why Boruto mentioning the Field Trip doesn't necessarily mean it's canon.

Though a direct confirmation would've come up if it was canon, and they wouldn't be going roundabout with it since that's more convinient than letting us second-guess.

What u said doesn’t make sense at all. Boruto mentioning the trip that IF filler he shouldn’t have mentioned is canon whether u like it or not . Not just that but also the writer himself came out and said it which proves he’s writing/involved
It makes sense you just don't understand it, i'm not saying the arc isn't cannon.

the Idea/Plot is cannon
The details shown about said Idea/Plot are not cannon

The Idea/Plot of the k11 taking the chunin exams is cannon
The Details shown about said Idea/Plot of the k11 taking the chunin exams (in the anime) are not cannon
