The moment Madara kicked the coffin door off and was staring at the Shinobi alliance as if they're unsightly trash.
The moment when Neji was introduced he just looked powerful. In part 2 he lost his aura and fell down the list.
The moment Hanabi was touted to be superior to a 5 year her senior And Boruto anime made her an official favourite.

Sasuke's resolve to get his revenge after getting his butt whooped by the sound 4 was when I knew he was my favorite.

Just recently I got a a new fav, I noticed that a certain fan base act really defensive around him and get butt hurt at anything he does.

So it made me support him more.

Nagato/Pain was always a mysterious character for me. I started liking him without even seeing him or knowing his abilities as soon as I saw Rinnegan

This.

Goddamn did that psyche me up. Though many people might not see it, all you need to do is back up ten or so chapters and compare it.

That, now that is development.

Boruto, in just ten chapters, went from a complete brat to a hero in the making, and believably so too, not to mention this is only the start of his development and he has a long way to go until he becomes the person we've seen in the flash forward of Chapter 1, and damn if I'm not anxious to see how we get there.

Became a fan of Sasuke the 1st time he was introduced. You could just tell he was gonna be badass and OP af at first glance.

Same, although I did jump ship for Itachi for a time lmao, But aye who wouldn't.

Kabuto became my favourite the moment the second he jumped into the fight with a Sannin and lived to tell the tale. The way he cockily cheated a victory with a smile on his face. Love that attitude in a character.

He then faded into the background for years and years, so I made other favourites like Sai, Lee and Deidara (during early Shippuden) but the moment he returned in the Snake Cape, I fell in love again. Chikara had a huge part to play in this but it was mostly his surprise reveal in Ninja Storm for me.

I didn't follow the manga at the time so the first time I saw his snake form was the Generations game where he became my main. Best design in the series, bar none. It felt like Kishimoto had reintroduced him as a personal love letter to me. His identity complex and flashback spoke to me very personally and he's remained my favourite fictional villain ever since.
