I would've left konoha with the clan and as a fail safe taken the 9 tails if not possible then just leave. It wasnt like Madara's time the Uchiha supported Fugaku since the bad blood had been brewing for quite some time since the 2nd Hokage's time. After the 9 tails + end of the 3rd world war konoha was severely weakened and they had no legit way of stopping the Uchiha from leaving.

He was known as wicked eye Fugaku and was of the same calibre as Minato yet was overlooked during the Hokgae selection because he was an Uchiha. HE wanted to stop the 9 tails but the eleders prohibited the Uchiha from helping. Fugaku still lo ed and cared for konoha and its the main reason he wanted to take over get their demands met instead of just declare war or leave.

The demand were a seat at the base of power (council), equal treatment and the right to live where they like instead of in a compound and for Fugaku to be named the next Hokage. Hardly unreasonable

There was no point in talking to the 3rd Hiruzen capitulated to Danzo's condition of isolation and surveillance. There's no way talking to him would help it would only make things worse since he wouldn't be able to do what the Uchiha wanted. And instead of coup all out war may have come about by it.

I can'tfollow the link give me the chapter and page number I'll read it myself. The Hyuga are fodder before the Uchiha there's no ninja that could match them. The Uchiha weren't the driving force but when they would've taken out most of the ninja they'd be over run. It's like when the cloud tried to kidnap Hinata konoha was too fodder to do anything and Hiashi was willing to die to save the village from being destroyed. Well that's just your assumption. Cloud was fully willing to betray konoha knowing it could cause a war, knowing full well of the uchiha and the rest of konoha clans.

Not really an issue in a drawn out war the Uchiha would've stomped the cloud low difficulty. The leaf were the ones that felt they'd be destroyed without the Uchiha because the leaf knew the internal situation. The problem was the Uchiha would likely help after any major obstacles were removed. Or they could just up and go with nobody able to stop them. Either way it's a win win for them.

Also it's likely the cloud knew also since they had inside help(assumption). Even with Hinata's thing they selected the day of Hinata's birthday to nap her and knew the Hyuga would be away. Konoha wasn't displaying clan secrets to them that's for sure. So it's highly likely they knew of the Uchiha isolation situation which would've been even more evident.
