From what Sakura and Shizune talked about - Sarada awakened her Sharingan when she was younger due to her being emotionally triggered by Sasukes absence. One could assume it happen before or shortly after Sarada began to understand and question Sasukes absence in the scan below (which doesn't disclose an age).

The nerf: if Sasuke was around or came back around by the time she awakened her Sharnigan, Sasuke would've has no choice but to help Sarada ascertain base knowlage of the sharningan and could've hypothetically been further along as a ninja then she already is at this point in the manga. She'd defiantly have more the 1t by the chunin exams... side note: what about her glassess?

Did her awakening it at a young age effect her eyesight, her becoming ill and that’s why she needs glasses? Or was the glasses something to suppress her Sharingan so it wouldn’t come out again anytime soon? Is this why Sakura was so concerned over Sarada’s eyes in epiosde 19? I’m pretty sure those are just assumptions and pretty much talking crazy so ignore that.

I guess, if your going the anime route. The odd thing is when sasuke re awakened his he had a 1t and a 2t(which made sense considering he had already awakened them) sarada just had both 1t's.
