Boruto animation vs Naruto part one animation.

Does anyone else feel like this effort to make everything HD and shit is ruining the experience. Naruto's animation from part one really was good, it made Naruto stand out from other anime's, giving the characters more full and more detailed appearances, and making abilities like the Sharingan and Byakugan seem more sinister.

With the new soundtracks and animation, Boruto seems more..child-like as a show in comparison to Naruto. Anyone else felt this way? Naruto's part one soundtracks and animation just seemed better. The movement could be worked on, as sometimes the characters seemed stiff but beyond that it seemed just fine.

It's the detail in the animation not the actual animation itself where they just converted in HD but the shitty art and none detail is still there.

I disagree with you the Boruto anime has had consistent animation in these 20 episodes . Naruto just has more details . And for the music no it's also very good . Look at the battle music for example it's close to Naruto shippuden and also the music that played when Sarada was convincing boruto to gove him the lunch for naruto was very mature and serious. Boruto animation is better than Naruto part 1 but less detailed

I think the never technology excuses a lot of the artist's laziness. Cause if you animate something poorly but then add special effects to it it doesn't look half as bad. They couldn't have gotten away with that in the start of Naruto, so naturally they put in more effort. But I don't really think that's the case in Boruto, the show does have a more childish feel to it, but that's cause it's about kids again. When I think that I see some bad animation in Boruto, I simply remember the animation shitshow that was Pein destroying Konoha and then it all doesn't seem that bad.

A lot of the episodes are outsourced so it's hard to say that it's consistent. Naruto Gaiden right now has been outsourced from SP until #23.

You said that the animation is consistent but that's not the case all the time. Sometimes outsourced isn't bad, but the animation is average at best. I think the lightning is changing our perspective whereas Naruto was more gritty, Boruto is more colorful and light.

The animation isn't shit but it's bound to start taking hits as the team gets juggled with multiple shows. If they weren't tackling so many shows, Boruto's animation would be godly every episode.

I know Naruto wasn't that dark in terms of color shading but Boruto is even more colorful than that XD

 

[Bad Touch Yakushi]

Didn't like the animation for most of Part 1. When they got the good animators in (Lee VS Gaara, Zabuza's death march, Oro VS Hiruzen, Naruto VS Sasuke) then it looked great but that was insanely rare in part 1. The average episode looks like this.

Shippuden and Boruto are much more impressive and whilst I can understand a 'lack of unique character', I don't see it and think it might be the nostalgia goggles talking. Boruto is totally allowed to be more 'child-like' considering it's banking on nostalgia and that the kids live in a demilitarised world. We don't have kids with tortured backstories forced to fight one another over bastard nations anymore, it's a different tone.

However that's neither here nor there. The contrast is quite obvious with or without gifs. It's just perspective at this point. Boruto overall is more lightly colored than Shippuden that had a consistent feel. Boruto looks like a kid show
