I know that people have slight reservations when it comes to Sarada especially, but I don't think the author has any disdain towards her (or anyone else for that matter), I just think they have a slight twist at taste that doesn't favor anyone really. Though I think he likes Sarada a lot (including the writer) because she does perform well. I think it's kind of endearing how she's the one who kind of controls the Team, if I were to question who would run the Team if Konohamaru was gone, I would suspect it would be Sarada. She really does enforce the rules and makes sure Boruto is on his shit.

Fighting wise I think they easily decapitated Shojoji alongside Mitsuki, to the point where I understand that if Sarada and Mitsuki were there with Shojoji, he would of gotten defeated in less than minute. Tops.

It'll be interesting to see where the Arc continues afterwards. I expect Team Konohamaru to remain at the forefront but I'm interested at what challenges they will face as time continues. We already see Boruto struggling with the seal, minimally, and when it activated he lost control of his body and the use of his chakra. To me that's a bonus because a LOT of people were complaining about Boruto receiving power at such a young age. So this should ease their minds in regards to how strong Boruto will become at this moment of time. It definitely confirms that if Boruto wishes to actually master the seal one day, it won't be something trivial or easy. Heck, it might even take years.

Shojoji as you would expect kind of seemed like sleeper agent. Just a small villain leading up to a bigger introduction, or a grand scheme of things. I don't think he's a bad character per se, but rather I just find him extremely bland. He's vile looking, he smokes cigars, he's monstrous in size, and his background is sketchy. He's as bland as you can get with a villain, very stereotypical. Nothing out of the ordinary at all, and I'm sure that's the last time we'll see him and the Mujina for a while too.

Onto the new villains the Kara. They look pretty bland at first sight. Another group of people who serve to be the antagonists who wear cloaks. Although the concept is overdone, we can't deny that the Akatsuki were one of the best things about Shippuden once upon a time. I do hope that the Kara deliver because I never liked the idea of the flash forward indicating that Kawaki would be the one and only villain, and that the story would reach it's climax there and there only. This signifies to me that the author indeed wishes to have multiple characters interact with such said villainous group, instead of it just being Boruto and his seal. I'm sure we'll run into this Kara group with Team Konohamaru, or Sasuke.

Overall I think this chapter was very average, but the past few chapters were not that great in comparison. This definitely feels like a good foot in the right direction, at least in terms of keeping our interests to the next chapter (rather than as a whole). I'm curious to see what lies ahead and just what these people want.

2 things I learnt Boruto didn't hurt fatman and he wasn't an inch from collapsing. Instead fatman was taken back and caught of guard. Also these marks are worse than Orochimaru's cursed seal.

It's a good step in the right direction, but I agree. I don't think its garbage but its average, however the Manga wasn't that average (slightly below average) for a while.
