Rereading everything in this thread, I want to understand why people don't like Hinata. I guess I am aiming for the impossible. Hohoho.

I ask myself that question everyday. Its usually the people who love Sakura. Maybe they can't accept the fact that Hinata will beat her in a 1v1 lol

Shouldn't expect much from someone with 4-5 notable moments in the manga. She's still more fleshed out than most other side characters, including Sakura and the other K11 outside of Shikamaru/Choji.

Better development is subjective, so okay. I just mean Hinata has more development than people like Ino, Sai, Neji. Whether you think that is good dev or bad dev is your opinion.

As an individual, Hinata is a better developed character than the rest of the rookies, maybe except for Shikamaru.
The Ino Shika Cho are developed as a trio though. Ino barely had hers, but she's pretty vital in Team 10. Choji, as well. Team 10's development heavilly relied on Asuma's departure, with the exception of Shikamaru who found a direction in resosnance with Naruto

Ps. Why are you a Hanabi fan since chuunin exams? I found her cute like I do with Hima and it was nice to think that Hinata my fave char has a sister who I can anticipate in the future.

Sakura personality is better when it does not associate with any cast of Team 7 especially Sasuke which is big problematic for any story in general because usually the Main heroine should solidify their relationship with the Main cast in a positive light however when it comes to Sakura, it's a complete opposite. In literature, Sakura was written horribly by the amount of negative spotlight she had after how she was negatively portrayed toward Team 7 which completely overshadow her positive trait.

Another big problem is that Sakura entire basis is on Team 7 which she does not have substance or character of her own.

Hinata personality is bland yet but atleast she has tragedy Backstory which resulted her timid nature plus her character is not revolve around Naruto but also her cousin Neji, her younger sister Hanabi, Team 8, and her connection with Hamura lineage . However because Hinata have been shafted by the lack of screen time then of course her personality is bland. If they want Hinata to develop and flesh out into 3 dimensional then all it takes to make her more in-depth is to expose more with how she interacted with other characters that basis on her mission together with Team 8 differently with others, or spending time with Neji and Naruto trio and from there she can develop into unique like maybe she will have some split personality or being really strong and courageous with the amount character growth she had.

So i think we have to go on that since their abilities excluding Choji can only work in conjunction with eachother.

Depends because with team Kakashi she has good character and is caring for her friends others and their dreams. And with team 7 it kinda kinda dull out because of her infatuation with Sasuke.

Hinata always been timid and her character revolves 90% around getting stronger so she can be with Naruto. Hinata Would have been a way better character if she was toned down from the RTN Hinata.
