Can Byakugan users escape genjutsu with closed eyes ??

I do understand this ... A Byakugan user can focus on objects far away . However he automatically sees all objects that are close to him (because of 360 v)....
All I mean is : "If the Uchiha is close to the Hyuga , Can the Hyuga avoid looking at his eyes ?" ... I think not .

Having byakugans doesn' t make your eyelips and walls become transparent, if that was the case everybody around a byakugan user would see through walls, and the fact is it isn't the case.

Ok , Kotoamatsukami needs eye contact , I agree ... But normal Sharingan genjutsu needs a 'look' .

It' s not clear what itachi meant, he doesn' t clearly say "you just have to look into my sharingan to be caught in a genjutsu, no matter if I look at you or not", his words don' t prove that just a "look" works for standard visual genjutsu.I brought you the proof that it isn' t the case for the visual genjutsu kotoamatsukami.
For IT, the moonlight/signal passes through walls and through eyelips, that explains why everybody is caught under the genjutsu, even the ones sleeping in their bedrooms, the signal can attein their eyes even if there is a wall between the moon and their eyes.It is a fact that standard genjutsu signal doesn' t pass through eyelips, and that IT signal does.
I agree, we both can' t prove anything because we don' t clearly know how byakugan works, but I think your claim is a bit far fetched.

Dude , this thread isn't even related to b's sunglasses .
All this thread is about the word "look" ... When you use Byakugan to "look" ; it doesn't matter whether your eyes are closed or not . (As Itachi says , a look is enough and we don't need "direct eye contact") .

Yet Genjutsu still worked because Killer B made eye contact with him. Eyes closed or not, the Byakugan lets them see the Sharingan thus Genjutsu is successful.

Itachi had to open his lids to cast a Genjutsu for hand-seal reading. So, everything about Hyugas evading Genjutsu is bullshit: as long as Byakugan can transmit the visual signal, it means it's looking. And that means that it's not safe from Sharingan.

Whether it stops visible light is irrelevant. That simply means that B can still perceive Itachi's eyes just how any Byakugan user can perceive his eyes. No one is interested in your theories.

I'm pretty sure you're looking at your screen as you read this, right? Although you're focusing on your screen, are you able to see other objects in your environment without taking your eyes off the screen?

I'm guessing that's how the Byakugan works. Their peripheral vision is 360 degrees.
