Who would honestly choose a Byakugan over a Sharingan?

Would you rather see someone pull the trigger before they even do it so you can move out of the way? Or see through a woman's blouse so you can see her completely like some god-forsaken stalker.

With the Sharingan I can copy the answers of someone who always studies by copying their moves. The Sharingan would be far more subtle, while the Byakugan will literally have veins crackling near your eyes.

For dodging bullets you need speed like flash
Shraringan is just going to make the bullet seem slower but in reality it would be fast as it should be and you won't be able to react to it lol
And if u need a dojutsu for copying answers then its better to choose byakugan and directly read the answers not movements or better use your brain not eyes.

Hmmm...in this scenario? I'd rather be able to see through the wall into the room and through the person's gear to see that they are concealing a gun before I even step into view :sdo:

Look I get why most would choose Sharingand over Byakugan for sure. Kishi has fleshed out the Sharingan so much that we've pretty much seen every scenario overcome with a Sharingan as far as fights and Intel gathering go.

However, just because Byakugan doesn't have balls like the Sharingan doesn't necessarily make it the lesser choice. X-ray vision can be used for more than pervert scenarios. Bomb units could locate land mines during wars from a safe distance or hidden bombs throughout a building.

Metal detectors would be a thing of the past with a Byakugan user just able to scan anyone concealing anything.

Hunting for food becomes much easier(well for either of the two honestly)


From a medical perspective you can look inside someone's body and locate tumors, sources of internal bleeding, any foreign objects that don't belong in the body, etc.

It(Byakugan)really does have some Useful abilities in real life scenarios. As for which one I'd choose? Byakugan. I'm not interested in using it commit crimes or overpower people or make them do what I want ala genjutsu.

Plus, I don't want to have to kill my family or friends to enhance its power, nor go blind from overuse. The Sharingan is much stronger for sure, but the drawbacks and emotionally unstable byproducts of the Sharingan are just not worth it to me.

You make fair points.

But for personal use I would choose the Sharingan. You'll find it far more flexible in use than the Byakugan. And if you don't want to use the Mangekyo you don't have to. A normal Sharingan is enough for our reality.

I would 100% go for the Sharingan Because I would be able to copy someone else's moves and actions, Play with their mind and also make them obey me.

But I think the Byakugan can see through solid objects which are very useful in the real world, But in the Naruto world, I would prefer the Sharingan. :flakez:

I dont know if its entirely correct but my opinion was based on this. It might be that everyone in the Narutoverse has chakra but cannot use it or dont wanna use it.

And by copying someone's movements you cannot actually be on par with him. Sasuke copied lee's movements but he still had to train for a month and he's a ninja you are not. Its not like if you copy usain bolt you could be on par with him, you would still need to develop muscles and all for that speed.

Well seeing as Kaguya had people trapped inside IT while she was the only 1 with chakra means not everyone have chakra does it not? Along with Itachi using genjutsu twice on common folk.

Also i never said you would automatically be on par with said person. But it'll make it faster for you to achieve that level of said person.
