and the only reason that Neji needed to dodge the daggers was because his Rotation was disabled [

], but Sasori can't prevent Neji from performing Rotation here. and if he overwhelmed it, Neji can just stop Rotating, dodge the attacks, then perform another Rotation to blast all the puppets near him

besides he has an X ray vision so he would see the mechanics behind every puppet

conclusion : Sasori can not take Neji by surprise here, unless if he had some way to prevent him from performing Rotation and if had Intel about the blind spot

The reason he can't channel chakra is because he needs a medium to do it. You can't use raw chakra as a medium for something. To transfer energy you can't use that same energy. You need something to contain it. (I've been to electrotechnic school so this is kinda obvious to me lol)

And no, Kidomaru's webs were material medium mixed with chakra, connected to his body. It was an actual sticky, elastic spider web. Not raw chakra. What happened there was 2 chakra streams using the same medium in a different way. Not one chakra stream using another chakra stream as a medium.

what you stated really makes sense, so I'll concede. but are the Chakra strings just a raw Chakra ? I thought that they are strings that carry Chakra within them.

-Itachi, Nagato and Obito are obvious stomps.
-Kisame is an obvious stomp as well since a 20% clone of him took on Team Guy together until Gai went 6G.
-Deidara rapes him with his bombs.
-Sasori rapes him with Iron Sand.
-Kakuzu shits on him with his elements and Jiongu, but that mode isn't even needed to low diff Neji.
-Gentle Fist is literally useless against Hidan. Closing his chakra points does nothing, not like he'd ever be able to close all of his chakra points considering Hidan can take on Kakashi in raw CQC.

Even in those scans you can see clearly that Neji had quite a bit of trouble with the sheer number of spiders Kidomaru was dropping on him and we know for a fact that Sasori rekts Kidomaru when it comes to numbers. Just the scorpion puppet (forgot it's name) could spawn hundreds of poison needles, add to that the sheer number of hidden weapons in every puppet, the amount of Iron Sand Third Kazekage can produce and the amount of firepower Sasori's own body has and you have a lot for Neji to take on so I really don't think Neji could so easily dodge everything. Even in Kidomaru fight he took a LOT of hits and just the slightest scratch from Sasori would kill him in 3 minutes or so.

It's really not about suprise techniques as it is about simply being outnumbered and outgunned. I could see Neji somehow fighting his way through a 100 puppets but to take on all the other things Sasori has on top of that? I don't think he has what it takes.

Nah, they're pure chakra that's highly concentrated so it takes a form of the string. Not an actual medium for passing chakra itself (that's how the puppeter can detach them and attach them from their fingers without really using any tools at all). Well, yea it would be interesting if nothing else to clear these matters about gentle fist and rotation durability up.

well you have a point about strength in numbers, but Neji still has a chance if he played his cards right. once the puppets get near him, he can just perform Rotation to blast and destroy them. and if more puppets attacked to overwhelm the Rotation. he can just stop Rotating and dodge the attacks for a while, then when he gets near some puppets again, he can just perform another Rotation to blast and destroy again. and he has ShunShin, Air Palm and his Jyuken is able to cut the Chakra threads and he can prevent Sasori from reattaching his puppets. and his Rotation size is on par with Hiashi's so he would be able to take many puppets each time he perform a Rotation

he can just keep using this strategy till he make his way through to Sasori. so I doubt that 100 puppets would be enough, the only problem here is the Iron Sand, so if he managed to take the 3rd KazeKage puppet then he take this, if not. then he loses badly

and there is also a lot of measures we didn't count, like their Condition, The Starting distance and the Intel

if Sasori started with Hiruko, Neji can just destroy it with Rotation and Sasori would evade. and if Sasori started with his puppet form, then an Air Palm pointed to his heart would take him down

if the starting distance is close, then I think that Neji can take this. if it is far, then Sasori definitely take this, if it is mid, then it can go either way

and about the Intel, Neji can have it in the heat of the battle with his Byakugan, but I doubt that Sasori would be able to have any about the blind spot, since I doubt he would be able to land an attack, since Neji can perform Rotation here

and according to DB both Neji and Hidan share equal states in Taijutsu (which is 4.5), and Neji is superior in speed (his speed is 4.5 while Hidan speed is 3.5). and he had a superior hand speed, I can't see why he would be able to defeat Neji in CQC

also in worst scenarios, Neji can emit Chakra to block his attack and spin to blast him away

and his chakra points would be blocked eventually

so I can't see how Hidan can beat Neji ?
