Sanji being a clone is the stupidest thing ever in this series.
I know I'm in the minority on this. But I haven't liked this arc basically at all besides like 1 or 2 chapters. And this makes me not like it even more.
For me the first arc in the New World I overwhelmingly dislike. Epically coming off of one of the best arcs in the series.

Ehhh. In the chapter it's hard to say if he a clone. They said he's human... But maybe they mean he's more human

We have human robots and cyborgs, zombies, a man whose head is shaped like a spike and can be pushed in and out like silly putty, a page of a man's ghost-soul leaving his body before being pulled back in, dwarves, talking toys, fish-people, giants, talking animals, people with abnormally long arms, people with abnormally long necks, a talking skeleton, a talking reindeer, moon people, and God flying to the moon in his spaceship after being beaten by a man made of rubber on the island made of clouds...but Sanji being a clone is where you draw the line?

One Piece 840 Chapter title is “Iron Mask”.
Germa has been a “country of science” traditionally.
Judge and Vegapunk used to be illegal researchers. Vegapunk got arrested since he found blueprint of life (DNA?).
Actually World Government bought the research team, but Judge managed to run away and continued researching.
Germa soldiers are programmed not to betray their boss and don’t fear death. All Germa soldiers are the clones of some excellent soldiers.
Ichiji and Niji appear. Niji expected Sanji a bit when he heard that Sanji is pirate, but now he is disappointed.
Sanji yells, “How dare you hurt Cosette-chan!!”
Sanji kicks Niji in his face, but his kick doesn’t hurt him at all. Niji says. “Stealth” , appears from behind and beats Sanji wit electric attack.
Ichiji says he is going to confirm their hierarchy and calls Sanji clunker.
Flashback starts. Judge says that now that he gave his sons talent they should train hard.
Judge is worried why only Sanji is weak. According to doctor, Ichiji, Niji and Yonji developed their exoskeletons greatly, but Sanji is just a human. Judge is disappointed.
Judge tells Germa66 soldiers that Sanji suffered a shipwreck. Sanji gets imprisoned with iron mask. He can’t even eat and asks for help.
Judge says that Sanji was not supposed to be born. Sanji sheds tears and apologizes again and again to Judge.
Sanji’s brothers don’t care about Sanji at all, but only Reiju seems to be worried about him.

Before the queen could eat, an old maid tasted the food, but it was apparently really bad
Yet Sanji’s mother ate the food smiling, saying it was really delicious
Sanji decided to study cooking after seeing his mother’s smiling face
Inside the cage again
Sanji is reading about All Blue in a cookbook received from the guard, when Ichiji, Niji and Yonji arrive.
Reiju is nursing Sanji after he was bullied by them.
According to Reiju, those 3 brothers “do not possess” the emotions of “sadness” or “pity”. (It’s not like they’re super cold or merciless…more like they were “created/engineered” that way.)
Sanji tells Reiju that he wants to become a cook.
Reiju is at a loss, and Sanji strongly tells her (while crying) that if he manages to escape he won’t have to look at his father’s face ever again.
Reiju destroys the cage and lets Sanji flee
Sanji escapes and meets his father by chance
Judge lets him go without resistance.
Judge: “Do not ever tell anyone that I am your father…it’s a failure I don’t want anyone to know.”
Sanji hears these words and cries.
Reiju, listening to them from the shadows, cries too
She then leads Sanji to another ship
Reiju: “Don’t come back here anymore!! The sea is huge…you will definitely meet some kind people one day!! ”

Chapter 842 The Power of a Full Stomach
Luffy could devour the biscuit soldiers because Nami made them softer with rain.
Luffy’s stomach is full and he is at its limits. More biscuit soldiers charge him, but Nami makes them softer with rain right away.
Nami: “I don’t know or care if you are on the side of a Yonko or whatever! Luffy is the man who will become the Pirate King!”
Nami: “Which means! There’s no limit to his appetite either!”
Luffy: “Eh!?”
Everyone is surprised by Nami’s words. Luffy pushes on eating without thinking anymore.
Scene change, in the mirror world Bropper and the others are running from Brulee
Scene change again, Reiju is tending to Sanji’s wounds.
Reiju asks Sanji where he learnt that “way of the gentleman”
Sanji remembers the harsh training received from Zeff.
All relatives leave for Whole Cake castle for the engagement ceremony.
Back to Temptation Woods
Luffy, with his stomach full, goes into Gear 4
Luffy: “Tankman!”
Cracker attacks Luffy, but the sword is absorbed by Tankman’s soft stomach instead of piercing it
Like that, Cracker’s upper body gets “swallowed” by Luffy’s stomach folds
Luffy “I’ll blow you to the ends of the New World! Cannonball!”
The half swallowed Cracker is blown away by the stomach’s strength.
The bloody Cracker crashes onto the (not wet) biscuit soldiers behind, and flies far away while crashing through them.

Cracker gets blown all the way to Wholecake castle
Because of Cracker's defeat to Luffy, state of emergency is declared and (citizens, I guess) are ordered to stay indoors.
Pound says things are getting real serious.
Pound: "The last time a top officer was defeated, Cracker's avenging army swarmed the seas..."
Pound: "Lin-Lin, enraged, summoned a storm and sank the enemy ships in an instant, or so they say."
Nami: "A storm!?"
Pound: "Lin-Lin can control the weather! Her left holds the thundercloud Zeus! Her right hand the sun Prometheus!"
Pound: "There is no way to stop Mom when she's angry!"
Luffy and the others have King Baum bring them to the castle. Luffy, sleeping on top of King Baum, turns back to his normal size in an instant.
Luffy's party heads to the castle, and before them appears the Vinsmokes' cat cart.
Luffy jumps onto the cart, happy to see Sanji again, but Sanji kicks him down.
Sanji: "Go back where you came from, filthy pirates!"
Sanji announces that he's a Germa prince and has no intention of going back.
Luffy isn't convinced at all, and Yonji is about to chase him away, but Sanji stops him.
Sanji: "I'll send him away myself...!"

I thought Kaido was hyped, BM may be looking just as good.

I've seen comments on reddit that what Sanji says to Luffy is the exact line Cracker said he'd say, leading them to theorize that is being forced to say it, like from a script. Others have pointed out that he'd use the opportunity to attack Luffy solo to slip him a plan or explain something.

or he could be protecting his crew from his point of view. If that's the case i would be severly dissapointed by his lack of confidence.

Others have pointed out how lame it'd be for this to be a Water 7 parallel or something. Not because it's like a recycled plot, but because if Sanji is doing the same thing as Robin, which is going away to protect the crew, it'd be stupid cuz it's be like he learned nothing from the point of Enies Lobby, even though he was one of the people who believed in that point.

I still believe in the crew, but don't worry i have a plan.
Ps- remember sanji doesn't know whos on the island to help him. He doesnt know about the 4 groups that split up at Zou. So being a little hasty in confiding in the crew is understandable.
