Nothing wrong with SSJ Rose

There is nothing wrong with SSJ Rose.

I have seen some people here complaining that its yet another SSJ transformation with a different color and jokes being made with ''whats next, SSJ Rainbow?''. Also people saying how it should have been white, black or blue.

There is nothing wrong with SSJ Rose.
It is probably not a new transformation.
It is just the SSJ Blue transformation, but when used by Goku Black it turns Rose color.
Goku Black always had a bit of blackish rose color aura to begin with (in normal form already).

Goku Black commented on being interested to see how a human (human as in mortal) like Vegeta looks clad in Godly ki.

Goku Black is not a human. Therefore his transformation doesnt have the blue look like Vegeta and Goku.
That is probably all there is to it.
We wont see all the colors of the rainbow for Goku and Vegeta.
Blue is their color when they have Godly ki transformation.

White, black or blue.
It would not have been better if Goku Black had white hair and a white or black aura as people would than just complain that he would be a Baby Vegeta clone.
If he had blue hair it would not have been better either, as it could get quite messy to follow a fight between Goku Black and Goku both with blue hair and blue aura.

Besides Goku Black has a mix of black and rose aura in SSJ Rose, just as his aura in normal form showed already blackish rose color. So it fits fine. The choice is fine.

Also we would miss out on how humans look clad in godly ki and how non-humans look clad in godly ki.
As I think its cool that there is a difference.

Still I am not the type that swallows a pill with no "technical" explanation about it :sdo: I need a full fledged explanation like on SSj 4 etc. :sdo: Even the SSJ Blue was shit throw into our faces with no proper defined explanation. Now they throw a rose WTF????
That's why I love Marvel in some way, they have pseudo science explanations. Unlike DC who just threw a diablo, human croc etc. into our faces and simply called them "
meta-human" DAFUQ!!!

As far as DB transformations go, it's the same as all the others. A dude powered-up from training/fighting and his hair changed shape/began glowing a different color.

But boy does it make Black as a character so intimidating and powerful. He's bringing the thrill and sense of danger that this series desperately needed.

Well, Black's SS Rose is maybe a reference to the symbolic "black rose" that is often used to express death, grief and detachment. But still, I would've prefered white, because rose looks terrible when Black has no aura around his body. The aura lets the hair at least shine with a white glow, that's fine to me.

Agreed, when I first heard of an evil goku I was like man this is gonna be sooooo cliche but he has surprised me, there's enough subtle differences between their characters that it's like a different entity who just so happens to possess goku's body. definitely my favorite character since Brolli

I get the point, but I'd rather take a pass on the black rose reference. If I had to choose, I wouldn't even name the form like "super-saiyan [insert color here]". Not even "Blue". I'd still simply call it SS God instead. The name itself isn't crucial for the choice of the color.

White wouldn't only be a pun on Black's name, it would also fit his godly theme. The color "white" is often associated with purity, rationality, "god" and even a new beginning. That all matches Black pretty well. He's a god, pure, rational (by thinking in the bigger picture -> what's best for the beautiful universes) and aims for a new beginning without mortal beings.

Hm, good question. I guess it's a mix of both. I'm not a fan of the color "rose" in general, but the aura gives it a white-ish shine, which makes it more tolerable to me. Blue looks better overall, with and without an aura. But that's just my point of view.

Maybe not the red fur color but a golden color. They could still have incorporated god ki to it. It would have also been truer to their heritage and a way to tame a once uncontrollable power.

Nah, bulky, hairy monkeys don't fit into the whole god-theme. It's good that Toriyama kept their designs simple and I don't think you will ever see the monkey-heritage again, since Toriyama is done with tails. He just recently introduced that the saiyans from universe 6 lost their tails completely and forever because of evolution. And the ones from universe 7 haven't had them for how many years now?

That was a very unique transformation imo.Much better than SS Rose and Blue and other colors.The fact that you need to become a Golden Oozaru master that power means pretty much even a SSJ 2 with a tail can potentially become a SSJ4 which felt like a completely different line of super saiyans with their own consecutive transformations.I actually hate the rainbowish super saiyans somewhat

It was actually implying Super Saiyan 4 in DBGT because Vegeta's impression of the legendary super saiyan was the Giant great ape which is a prerequisite of the SSJ4 transformation except the saiyan who reached that stage couldnt control his instincts like Goku and eventually ended up killing himself.See?There is only 1 SSJ4 transformation
