Its a universal Uchiha/sharingan technique. And plus he saw danzo use it 1000000 times aswell as his brother giving him the whole knowledge and backstory about it . It's pretty much just sacrificing your eye , not really a technique you have to train for.

i think he wouldnt stay at 3t , he would just have to fuse his chakra with the eye to get his normal ems back, since obito did that when he used his izanagi against karin.

Fair enough with the Enton point, even if it won't help much in this situation. Yet, Uchiha can't activate Susanoo without their eyes. MADARA can. And Madara is far, far, far from your average Uchiha.
