Nah I disagree with you there, Sanji always has a side mission. A rebel side that pays off at the end of an arc.

He sabotaged Enel's ship and saved Usopp and Nami, he became Mr. Prince in Alabasta to screw with Crocodile, He ran off to catch the sea train to save Usopp and Franky, He opened the Gates of justice in Enies Lobby. He ordered G5 around on Punk Hazard.

These are all things he just did without orders that were in the benefit of the crew. He thinks multiple steps ahead and has the added bonus that he is very strong and yes, very well dressed.

So if you can past the blood noses (last one on Fishman island i think but whatever) Sanji has more layers to his character than other strawhats. The current arc only adding to that in the form of backstory.

Chopper has been reduced to a mascot, and Law did the most crucial healing stuff most of the times he was around
Robin only appears if something needs further explanation or if a stone pops up
Brook, I don't know what Brook has been doing since he joined.
Zoro, always misses the middle of an arc, Oda just gives him a chore to pop up back at the end.

So that is what I mean with one-dimensional

Luffy, Usopp, Nami, Sanji (and Franky sometimes) do the more interesting stuff, interact with people, set things in motion.

That is why I feel that they are the more interesting characters.

But as you can see I did it well-argumented, You're free to disagree with me because it's my opinion. But don't be an asshat like some others in this threat who only judge by quirks because they don't comprehend what I'm saying.

You can laugh all you want, but it indicated only the start. The vinsmokes are just all and good introduced at this point. If you want to think Oda is going to wrap this up in 3 months I guess I will be the one laughing in the end. And deep down you know I'm right.

Hahahaha
I wasn't laughing but if you wanna get that worked up over it be my guest. You said the year of Sanji had just begun but the year's almost over so either there's gonna be more than 1 Sanji year or it's about to wrap up.

Really ?! if Oda calls it the year of Sanji that you translate that for yourself as okay Sanji is going to rock from January 1st to december 31st 2016.

we were still on Zou for half of the year and the latest chapter just showed what the Vinsmokes are up to and we have them in the same room for the first time. So obviously it will keep on going for a while, We spend 2 years on dressrosa, Oda isn't rushing big mom.

Also the laughing part was a sarcastic comment towards Toshi. Just rattle the cage and watch the idiots fall out on page 1.

Actually Luffy's group left for Zou by beginning of April. Besides no one here is disputing Sanji's year. Just don't get worked up everytime someone says he doesn't like your boy and create useless flame wars. I'm personally not a fan of Sanji, but i don't hate him either. I just don't find him interesting enough(personal taste) to talk too much about him unless it's about something interesting like currently his relationship with the Vinsmokes who indeed seems interesting(mainly Ichiji and Reiju, but oh well)

Yeah cool, but in april Sanji still was a long way gone from being taken by Capone. So let's start it there if you want to be super **** about a year is a year. You know he will be getting more than a year of spotlight anyway.

I'm getting worked up if the second post in a Sanji thread is about how he sucks and Zoro is so badass. I tackle that post and I explain with good arguments why in my opinion Sanji is a way more interesting character than Mr. cut 'n slash.

I'm not the one creating the flame wars. It's guys like yourself who post stuff like this:

You know it's the year of Sanji when you can count the number of panels he appeared in the year lol
So don't be a salty ****, just enjoy the year of Sanji. and one Oda year is like 2 years in manga time, so have fun chewing through all those chapters.

Are you kidding me, what was the last time Zoro did something interesting ?

Chasing fairies in Dressrosa, Riding Brownbeard in Punk Hazard and stuck in a cage on Fishman island.

Zoro has one job every arc that is to cut 1 enemy, look into the camera and makes a one liner.

But if you want adventure and James Bond like scenes, Sanji is your man.

Year of Sanji has only just begun, cheer up pal there is so much more out there than 1 dimensional characters.
Oh look. A sanji fapboy. Stfu nerd. Zoro solos

To add on to this, Sanji's last nosebleed was actually in Dressrosa. It happened because he was talking to Violet. You know, the chick that ended up playing a huge role in Luffy's survival and aided the Strawhats multiple times(without her, Doflamingo would have ended up slaughtering Nami, Chopper, and Brook). So even if anyone has a problem with Sanji's nosebleeds, I'm sure they can't say jack shit about that one since it has plot relevance.

Also, I'm pretty sure Sanji's nosebleeds on Fishman Island were a Chekhov's Gun for the transplant Luffy would need later on, which was a pretty big plot point and fit the overall theme of the arc. Sanji's nosebleeds were only a thing on Fishman Island and for a moment on Dressrosa, and both times they had relevance to the rest of the plot, so complaining about them in general is pretty stupid.

What's up with all the Sanji hate tbh?
Sanji is actually in my top 3 fav characters, he has just been objectively ass post timeskip. Last chapter was the first time where it felt like he was the Sanji of old.

Wow what an amazing debate skill, you totally won the internet now sir. And to achieve that in a double post. Cheeky move but for someone with your argumentation I guess we can let it slide this time.

I like the subtle touch of irony where you call me a fapboy, followed by a little insult and then immediately continue with a good old Zoro solos. Classic fapboy reversal there.

I know that Zoro solos, as long as it isn't the top tier, because he is always one step behind the big guys. But oh well at least he always is on interesting adventures. Oh wait that is that other guy in the monster trio.

Now I see where the frustration comes from. Not strong enough to be the big boss and not smart enough to be interesting.

But thank you for getting your jimmies rustled. Next time if post, try to limit it to one please. Because if you spread the amount of stupid over 2 posts you look twice as dumb.

Yea I agree it would've been way cooler if he kicked the ass of his entire family in the first chapter they were introduced.

Wasted opportunity with all that backstory from Oda. /Sarcasm

But then again if it was a fight without a story he would resemble Zoro too much. #YearOfSanji in full effect.

Sanji is unimpressed with you post.

Genuinely curious, what point did you think you were making when you posted this? Did Love Cook really upset you all that much just by saying Sanji's character arc is super interesting and that he's one of the more consistently interesting Strawhats?
?

Damsel in distress is what I thought when I posted that.

Haha those represent the salty tears of Zoro fanboys worldwide, because they know I'm right. So far no one here has made a decent point. Only insults, memes, pictures, bloody noses and other gimmicks.

But no one said: "But Love Cook don't you remember when Zoro did X on Fishman Island/ Punk Hazard/ Dressrosa". He has 1 chapter of fame every arc and apparently that is enough to still the hunger of a Zoro lover. But now we see the first signs of withdrawal symptoms.

Truth hurts.

It's actually fun messing with Sanji fans, he has so many L's on panel that there is unlimited content to choose from. Zoro though its rare to find panels of him, which could be a bad thing I guess, Zoro's only fault is being too badass.

Not sure if you really comprehend on who is getting messed here with son. Also I don't think interrupted fights qualify as a loss, so technically

Sanji fought Ikaros, Wadatsumi, Guards on PH, Vergo, Doflamingo guards, Doflamingo himself, Sheepshead, Yonji and Judge.

And maybe he didn't win all those fights but he also hasn't lost any of them technically. So there are not that much L's on panel, he is just as unbeaten as Zoro is after timeskip.

Unless if we're counting unfinished fights, in that case we might want to revisit Zoro vs Fujitora.

But again that was not the point in this thread, we all know Zoro is the stronger one, and the fighter, the number 2 of the Sh's. But all I said was. Sanji is more interesting.
