In an inteview Oda gave on May 2016 the 5th he said he wants Zoro to become the captain by the 900th chapter at least. And Luffy would find the One Piece treasure by the thousandth chapter

Not everyone has what it takes to be a leader or tell Luffy how to handle things, and I already showed times when Zoro has shown more moments of handling Luffy , than anyone else, but you never refuted my post so I guess I was right there.

I can probably show you even more times where Chopper or Nami cried at Luffy's safety.
Lmao your bias literally reaches an unbelievable level. So by zoro grabbing luffy face and telling the crew to respect their captain that makes him a leader but when sanji physically attacks luffy for attempting to tell a crewmate to leave and telling him to not be reckless and literally putting an end to a flared up situation it is nothing compared to zoro action. Smh zoro threatened to leave the crew and sanji attacks his captain because he is out of line and knocks some sense into him but of course zoro's threat out ways sanji's actions. What sanji did out ways what zoro did honestly.

I think their actions were even, but otherwise, nothing but facts.

Stop it. Sanji was having trouble breathing in that scene, even in that scene Zoro was observing calm and collected like the first mate he is.

Reminds me of another time where Zoro like the first mate he was, was able to keep calm and collected while Sanji lost his cool.

Would you look at that. VC Zoro telling Sanji and Usopp, the two boys, to settle down while the Captain is away.

First off, Zoro wasn't completely calm either. When he was telling the crew what they should do about Usopp, he was also yelling and losing his temper as well. The vein on his face here highlights the fact that he's yelling with a temper[ ]. He slams his sword into the ground and is outright yelling here, highlighted by the larger print for his speech box, the fact that the speech box is drawn in the irregular shape that indicates yelling, and the bolded text that juxtaposes the normal print for the text boxes next to it. In fact, all of Zoro's lines on this page with the exclusion of the middle parents are written in text that indicates yelling and a raised voice. He yells again here[ ]. At the very least, the text indicates intensity in Zoro's voice, which is the opposite of calm and collected.

Zoro can be seen yelling again here[ ], indicated by the lines around his body that indicate him shaking in anger and the vein that starts bulging in his arm, both indicating tension in his body language. In the bottom panel of Zoro, he is outright yelling with a look of blatant anger that's emphasized with the exaggeration Oda places in the facial expression(the sharp teeth, the wide mouth, and the whited-out eyes). The last panel of him yelling for Luffy to drop the situation also shows him with blatant anger.

The situation you provided in your post shows the same. The lines drawn around Zoro's face indicate that he's yelling just as much as Sanji is as the lines indicate intensity, and he says the exact same thing that Sanji does: Let Luffy duel it out with Kuzan while they wait there and handle what's currently in their hands. None of what you posted proves anything, and RJ22BIG is right. Hell, you see those lines surrounding Sanji that shows him shaking in anger because he's losing his cool? Zoro has those exact same lines drawn around him as well, showing he's shaking just as much as Sanji is.

Sanji was highly upset in that scene he was breathing hard after he hit luffy then he was fine we've seen that 100 of times in one piece when luffy hits some one and he's breathing heavy. What does calm and cool have to do with the overall tone of the action in itself. Your searching for anything to down play that scene. When zoro had his scene saying that usopp should apologize everybody in the crew was arguing sanji was the calm cool one stating that zoro was right. So your point makes no sense because they both were calm in one another's seen and angry during their own actions.

Just how stubborn someone can get when he has multi-post in every single 19 pages of this thread. This isn't even stubborness anymore. It's harrassment, hatred and idiocy
of Straw hats. So.. Either Oda didn't writer that chapter or was just wasting panels with stupid dialogues misleading people...or he confirmed it.

Zoro may have started just as an alley but after Thriller bark his character development has been more and more about turning in to first mate as demonstrated on multiple occasions. Usopp on the other hand was out of the race the moment he challenged Luffy, lost and walked out. He got back in to the crew more out of self interest and hasn't developed in to a leader that can take charge of the crew and command Zoro and rest of them in Luffy's absence. Zoro gets that role, whether he cares for the title or not.
Well said. Thread over

Honestly when luffy is not around or not q in position to take command. Both zoro and sanji are in charge they are the wings of the future pirate King and their dynamic honestly mirrors the buggy pirates. Buggy has Mohji who is the Vice captain and Cabaji who is the Cheif of Staff both positions literally translate to second in command. When buggy was beaten by luffy both Mohji and Cabaji both fought each other to see who would take command of the buggy pirates and they fought equally for hours and ended in a tie. This is the best representation of if the straw hats had a second in command position which they don't it would be this exact dynamic. If you still argue this then your abpsolutely biased especially towards a particular character of your choosing. Especially since Oda's has called both zoro and sanji the wings of luffy clearly implying equality.

Jean it was implied twice that Zoro is SH firstmate.
Barto said 'Zoro is VC' and this guy travelled with both Luffy and Zoro.

This proves Marines/Gorosei/Pirates(who make all these titles) in OPverse all thinks Zoro is VC.

Kuma and Sabo indirectly implied it too with the former targetting Zoro in Luffy's absence and the latter giving Luffy's vivre card to Zoro. Even the difference in portrayal Zoro gets when it comes to a captain allied partner(Law) is pretty telling. With Sanji and co, he orders them around, with Zoro they lead the team together. But but no... let's ignore all this just for the sake of building up shitting arguments and blaming it on Oda the shitty writer

Lmao it's literally in apostrophe Bartolommeo said zoro is held as vice captain by me. Lmao that just a fanboy looking in from the outside he didn't say the world sees zoro as vice captain Bart just said in his opinion you should really read more carefully there friend. When in the world did kuma and sabo indirectly imply anything about zoro stop making stupid things up sheesh that's really sad. So because sabo gave zoro a vivre card to give to luffy that means he is a vice captain man that is really stupid. I guess when Lola gave Nami her moms vivre card does that mean Nami was captain or vice captain sense Lola didn't give it to luffy and or zoro because he is vice captain by your stance on the matter smh.

Lmao at comparing the Lola-Nami situation to the Sabo-Zoro situation when they Sabo and Zoro never even met each other before. Hell he spent 2years with Robin, yet it's to Zoro the one he never met he decided to give the vivre card too... Not that your opinion matters to me anyway when it's blatantly clear by now you have a huge bias concerning a character with a certain yellow hair

By Oda placing that in apostrophes it's clearly saying I Bartolommeo see zoro as vice captain. Although he isn't vice captain because there isn't one. Oda would've just said he is vice captain. Oda made sengoku say whitebeard was the strongest man in the world he didn't have him say by me he said it overall through everyone's eyes. When Kaidou was said to be the strongest creature in the world he didn't have law say by me lmao. You really helped cement the fact that zoro isn't vice captain or second in command because there isn't one among the straw hats now can you stop trying to force these absurd notions.

Lmao bro I haven't even referenced sanji you haven't heard me say sanji is vice captain or sanji over zoro not once have a shown a bias over one vs the other.

Did barto said Ussop is 2nd in command??? No.
Did barto said Franky is 2nd in command??? No.
Did barto said Robin is 2nd in command??? No.
so Barto sayin Zoro is VC means guys in OPverse sees Zoro as SH VC. end of the debate.
Last time I checked Barto is Luffy fanboy because his ship looks exactly like Luffy not like Zoro. he likes everyone in SHcrew.
Do u think Urogue is also Zoro fanboy :|???

Barto is a straw hat fanboy his ship has parts from all the straw hats on it part of the going merry even choppers hat is a part of his ship so talk what you know. Secondly he said zoro the man hailed by me as vice captain that doesn't mean people in the one piece verse view him vice captain that means one person who clearly stated what he believes by him. That like me saying that the sky is navy blue in the morning that's my opinion doesn't make me right just an opinion. I Urogue said zoro was the first mate meaning he was first to join. Note barto didn't say to me zoro is first mate because it's an actual fact zoro was first to join so is the first mate. Barto said to me zoro is vice captain that is the first actual reference of zoro being vice captain and it was said as an opinion of one man.

Already two guys(Urogue,Barto) viewed Zoro as first mate/Vice captain/2nd in command in opverse.
But my question remains the same, why didn't Barto(who is SH fanboy not Zoro fanboy) said Franky/Ussop/Robin as SH VC???

I Urogue said zoro was the first mate meaning he was first to join. Note barto didn't say to me zoro is first mate because it's an actual fact zoro was first to join so is the first mate. @Italics
Bro google it
First mate
Noun
the officer second in command to the master of a merchant ship.
First mate= Second in Command= Vice Captain.

That like me saying that the sky is navy blue in the morning that's my opinion doesn't make me right just an opinion.
Ol let me give u an example;
If i say Hitler was racist, it might or might not be true but its my opinion which i had formed seeing/reading in books or watching documentaries on Nazi germany and atrocities they did on jews.
Same way wit Barto he must have read/watched on news what Zoro did(lets say at Dressrosa-where he saved the king by slicing Pica in 2pieces or Whiskey Peak which he himself gave) or how WG is showing SH in OPworld.

Easy the reason barto said zoro besides the others is really simple because he chose zoro it's no more complicated at all it's a mere opinion doesn't make him right or wrong. I've heard people stupidly say that zoro smarter then sanji it's not like either way has been proven it's a mere opinion neither right or wrong because it hasn't been proven or said by Oda. I've seen in multiple SBS that Oda is asked a question and answers it straight forward if zoro was a vice captain he would just simply have luffy say zoro is vice captain. The only time I've ever seen Oda avoid a question is when it was asked if zoro and sanji were to get into a big fight who would win he completely avoided the question and ended the SBS.

And on that part about barto probably reading something that lead him to believe this again has not been shown so your basically reaching for something but I will happily counter. If he did read something from the world government it doesn't make it true the WG said crocodile was defeated by smoker. Said doffy resigned from the war lords. There was a gladiator in dressrosa that said that he heard luffy was 6 feet tall or something of the sort I know it was a tall height. Again none of which is true again opinions and lies in some cases as listed above
