Well.... The kaguyas husband thread gave me a thought.. Kaguya was only strong cause of the fruit right? Same with hago. The shiki's looking for kaguya already had all this power... So.... How did they get it? Are most ootsutsuki's like kaguya before the fruit? Or is she a like a runt and the rest are like the shiki's? Am I missing something here?

Then what was kaguya? There's an obvious difference between pre fruit kaguya and the shiki's but they're all ootsutsuki's. If the shiki's are the guardians of the fruit, are they the only ones with that kind of power within the ootsutsuki clan?(guardians of the fruit)

kinshiki doesn't have a doujutsu and in the databook apparently kaguya didn't get her byukagan and sharingan until the chakra fruit.

That's what I mean though, kaguya was powerless before the fruit, the shiki's obviously had power already. They where looking for kaguya and the fruit no? So why are they and pre fruit kaguya so different?

There isn't any proof that Kaguya wasn't strong and had Byakugan before the fruit , wat if the fruit simply gave her a upgrade + her third eye similar to Momo absorbing Kinshi and gaining a similar mutation?

I think momoshiki got his from the fruit too because they planted god tree in different worlds too. kaguya was fairly powerful before her eyes.

Kaguya was also one, and she was the princess which means she was heir to the clan.

What if Kaguya/Momo/Kinshi descended from parents who ate fruits , making them inherit chakra + ability to use Byakugan from birth?

This would actually be kind of cool. I forgot that kaguya did in fact have some kind of power pre fruit. So it's plausible all three where like that and the other 2 ate fruits from the planets they encountered looking for kaguya.it would make sense though, if say they where siblings and their parents are the original progenitors of chakra. As chakra fruit doesn't sound so far fetched in such a world I guess. I like the idea dude nice

If you think about it though.... Why? Why was it such a big deal that she left? If the fruits are in other planets other planets had the means to gain chakra no? So it's not just "we can't let this power fall into the wrong hands" kind of logic. Senseisama mentioned her being a princess, so it makes sense they would look for her, but the shiki's General attitudes in boruto don't really reflect them looking for their princess. It also makes you wonder why kaguya left to begin with. And if there's fruits on other planets then there's also shinju(sp?) trees. It's quite the interesting rabbit hole once you start thinking imo

It's unknown how strong kaguya was before . The shiki's probably got some botched chakra fruit that gave them abilities but not on the same level as kaguya's.

A Chakra Fruit is the product of a Holy Tree after it absorbs enough nutrients from the planet that hosts it. As the Databook states, Kaguya was the first being to manipulate chakra and she only awakened her Byakugan and RinneSharingan afterwards.

Hmm I also forgot about that fruit coming after the tree sucks the nutrients from the planet.... So it's also plausible that the ootsutsuki's are really nothing but a race of aliens that suck up the nutrients of planets to give themselves power

I don't think the Ootsutsuki knew of chakra before Kaguya, since she was the first according to the Databook and even she ruled the land for a while before attempting to eat the Chakra Fruit, which was a last-ditch resort to end wars and conflict.
