I come from an intermingled black and white family where roughly 90% of my generation (siblings, cousins, etc ) are mixed. We were always taught that people are people.

I'm willing to bet that 120 years from now, people like in the OP's picture will be the majority, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I was born in Trinidad but im half black and half venezuelan and her mother is Puerto Rican and Italian. In my country and the way i was raised racism was pretty much non existent so when i came to America that was all new to me. I couldnt understand why ethnicity and race played such a prominent part in people's lives in America (still dont), to me beauty is beauty there's just different varieties and as far as the guys go, i hung out with all races because to me they were just ppl, humans with flesh and blood just like me. So yea, i have no probs with mixing races in all aspects from relationships to relations.

And there's always something to discriminate others for. Social status, welfare, lifestyle, fashion sense, taste, personality, looks, sexual orientation, nationality - really there'll always be jerks in our world.

The world is a lot smaller these days, so it only makes sense that races are mixing. A long time ago, you were around people who looked like you.

Am I happy about it? I'm indifferent.

Our cultural pride doesn't need to disappear with race mixing. But if it does, than that means there wasn't much to be proud of, anyways.
