[Discussion] Who is able to defeat the 6 Paths of Pain

I recently read a topic about the fact that Pain had a huge disavantage against Naruto in their battle in Konoha. And I agree with that.

But that made me start thinking: Which ninja would be able to defeat Pain?
I'm talking about all the ninja's that have ever lived.

Just some names to think about: Sasuke, Gaara, Itachi, Senju Hashirama, Senju Tobirama, Sarutobi Hiruzen, Namikaze Minato, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Kisame, A (Fourth Raikage).

So,

WHO IS ABLE TO DEFEAT THE 6 PATHS OF PAIN?

not sure about Minato since we havent actually seen him in long battles as of yet ... Jiraiya couldnt beat him ... Sasuke cant ... Senju might ... Gaara never ... Itachi may or may not dunno if he could wouldnt he hav challenged him ? I doubt hiruzen could take him on .... Sarutobi and Jiraiya are more or less equals except for Sarutobi was much more brainy than Jiraiya ...

Itachi probably, unbeatable susanno with yata mirror and totsuka blade.

Good analysis, I agree on a lot of points with you. But Jiraiya didn't fight Pain with full powers. He wasn't prepared for a fight, he was on a mission to gather information.

Yes I think Itachi has a chance. We know to little about madara/tobi to say what he is capable of.

You clearly don't understand this topic. Yes I've read the manga, yes I know Pain gets defeated. But as said, Pain was in a huge disavantage as you can read

No ninja alone can beat the Rikudō Sennin. He had all the powers of Nagato but knew exactly how to use every single power and more. Then he was gifted with the jubi. Advancing his powers even more, what makes it even worse is his seal is like Naruto's. Also so unconfirmed but he should also have all MS abilities giving he has the first and most powerful sharingan.

Naruto can match the jinchuriki power combined with Sasuke's eyes. Naruto and Sasuke together can probably defeat the Rikudō Sennin. It would be cool if Itachi gave Sasuke the sword of Totsuka Sword, Naruto with the Yata mirror.

Madara and Hashirama could beat him also. Hashirama could suppress the jubi Madara maybe seeing as the kyuubi is apart of him. With the jubi suppressed the two of them should be a match against the Rikudō Sennin.

Nagato and Naruto. Nagato could match the Rikudo's rinnegan.

to be fair i discount that whole thread, there's one simple point overlooked.

that thread is all about "a fair fight"... the ninja world isn't about fair fights, and a fair fight wouldn't have been 6 vs. 1 now would it? lol

i agree with pein's disadvantages, and in round 1. pein beat him (although many bodies were destroyed).

the fact of the matter is however, almost any one ninja fighting 6 very powerful ninjas would die... (plus he's the main hero so he wouldn't be killed yet )

well without the advantages...I'd still go with naruto, since he now has control over the Kyuubi... Although we don't know to what extend his powers have increased...I would still say Naruto can beat him now without the intel etc.

Jiraiya, Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Madara, Zetsu(if his abilities are revealed), Sage of Six Paths, Sarutobi, Hashirama, Minato. Those are the only ones I can actually think that will defeat or come close. If Jiraiya knew what pains abilities were, he would have defeated him easily.

dude do you read the manga? saurotbi wasnt just smarter then jiraiya.. he was taught by the first and second and had a wider of range of jutsu's compared to jiraiya.. he was nicknamed the god of shinobi..

Pain was a prodigy. he was immensely powerful. I would say that Itachi's susanoo is not enough since it is a ninjutsu after all. one of the paths thrive on making them useless. he has clearly an advantage in genjutsu, but I do not believe that it would affect every body if one got caught in it like in the sound genjutsu. sasuke has no chance .. Jiraya would probably win if he knew pains weaknesses as stated by pain himself. well a young sarutobi would maybe have a chance, but not likely. the problem is the last last path. the strongest. his powers require analytic skills beyond reason. gravity is a powerful thing.

we know to little about madara to make assumptions there. and not sure about minato either, but i dont think so. Kisame would have no chance since his tactics is heavy based on water ninjutsu which one of the paths would clearly absorb. Orochimaru would be blasted into oblivion. he is strong, but eventually Pain would kill him. Orochimaru relies on poison as his last defence, but does poison work on dead humans controlled by chakra? think not.

Raikage would undoubtedly destroy one or two bodies, but would die eventually. gaara is a lot stronger than people on this forum give him credit for, but he would loose against pain for sure.

Kabuto against pain would be fun to watch. edo tensei destroys pains advantage in number Im not sure about the outcome in this one, but that last path is just really to strong..

as a conclusion I will say that Pain can re-spawn and that is a pretty neat power...

Just throwing this out there, but are teams allowed? The restriction would be that the teams know nothing about Nagato.

For example, team Kakashi (which I know has Naruto, this is an example) with Yamato, Kakashi, and Sakura. Further, they know nothing about Nagato.

Another one could be the Raikage and Killer Bee.

Did anyone mention Sarutobi (i.e. 3rd Hokage)?

In order to win, someone has to be able to break out of Chibaku Tensei in my book. I'm hard pressed to think of many who can do that. Maybe Minato could FTG his way out and about. Also, Sasuke with EMS and a cool head that actually has reasoning like when he fought Itachi and Deidara.

Sharingan users have no chance against six paths of pain ! Remember the only way to beat a sharingan user is to be more than 1 , Pain are 6 !!!!!!
So itachi won't be able to beat Nagato
