nice hypothesis......i mean the mist ninja indeed noticed that something was off with the way things were proceeding with Gokage meeting........luckily he had the byakugan to confirm his suspicions........if a Tailed beast can sense the abnormal behaviour or a change in the chakra flow of its jin he might actually communicate in the subconcious plane and make the jin realise he is under the illusion of free will and these are not his actions...........but for that the relation between the jin and the tailed beast would have to be better than that of best friends........

The problem what ka this it still works like any other Genjutsu if see that your Chaka going in the wrong direction the problem is simple
