In my opinion it didn't ruin the story but I thought it ruined Madara/Sasuke and Hashirama/Naruto's individuality by making them the reincarnations of the sage of six paths sons. Then again I don't believe in the notion of reincarnation.

Combined with the Kaguya asspull and BZ 1 shotting Madara yh it ruined it.

Yes because it made everybody else fodders. Like if you ain't from the otsutsuki, have ashura or indra's chakra, or rikudou chakra, you're a fodder!

And it defeat the message that Naruto was trying to preach! You will achieve your dream by hard work no matter what! But really it worked out for him because he had ashura chakra and Kurama chakra to fall back on when shit get tough for him.

Somewhat, but I actually enjoy debating about things related to Ashura and Indra, so not as much as people would think though it did ruin the theme of the story.

Kaguya is the only thing I especially don't like in Naruto.

Madara has always been my favorite villain. I wanted to see just how strong he was with his hyped up "double rinnegan." I guess he was just to strong then.

Completely agree with op. It took out the individuality and uniqueness that naruto and sasuke had and made it seemed like they were destined to be big. It kinda ruined the theme of the idea that anyone can be great if they never give up but now we realize that the only reason our main characters are strong is because they were destined to be

It was dumb but the story was ruined long before that.

Debating Indra and Ashura is honestly boring. Especially Indra/Ashura vs Sasuke/Naruto.

It is always the same "Indra/Ashura are more related to SO6P" vs "Sasuke/Naruto received 50% of Sage chakra"

Who do you think is stronger? I personally believe Sasuke or Naruto can low diff Indra or Ashura. Wish we would've gotten more feats from them.

Naruto/Sasuke are flat out better. Ashura could hardly stalemate Indra's PS which lacked Rikduou's Chakra and Sasuke possesses both Indra's Chakra, Half of Rikudou's Chakra, and the Rinnegan to amplify his PS even further. Both are superior to Indra/Ashura.

Yes it did. What was the point of Naruto and Sasuke growing stronger when they were just the sons of the Rikudo Sennin in spirit?

All good underdog stories have the hero being the reincarnation of a nigh omnipotent demigod, who is destined to win.

Oh wait, no they don't.

yup...

took vote2 hype away knowing naruto wouldnt beat the shit outta sasuke for all those years of getting negged and not just losing sakura but seeing her blatantly abused or ignored...

kaguya was ass and kishi may not have made madara too haxx and given us a better ending

but eh.. their "equal" and naruto pulled a draw even if destined so i content with tht at least. but i miss pre pein arc where *****s were still ninjas

oh shit almost forgot about the 1shotable fodder fillergan with the DBZ style final fight lol without the bros maybe i would still watch naruto movies x'D

By that point Madara had already disconnected me so much from the story I didnt care too much.

The chapter where Madara introduced the Ootsutsuki and that point on is where the story became a mess. I actually dislike everything past Obito's defeat

Made things too complicated for no reason. We understood that the power of the sage was divided into two clans for his sons, then we learned you had to be an incarnate of the sons to awaken the exact same eye+body of the sage through some complex method that included bijuus as well.

It just further divided up power of the sage into four pieces/steps

I found the concept of Ashura and Indra interesting, but introducing them really flat-lined the manga to just really op top tiers, leaving 90% of the characters useless.

Giant Avatars are the most aggravating thing to me, that itself made clans and ninja without them totally irrelevant.

Edit: But if we're being honest, sharingan, MS brought the manga to that point long before indra/ashura and avatars.

Ditto. Plus Sasuke using Indras Arrow was retarded to me. All of sudden Indra hasraiton and is exactly like Sasuke. Bullshit. It takes away from them as individuals definately. Notbto mention Ashura having damn near identical avatar for sake of plot.
